Yep, things looking pretty good for me ATM, 180 ish/2 after 32. But even better than that, WHo's Your Daddy are in trouble against 3rd Veets, who are 189 without loss after 34.
Well done Tharmi, the side you beat kocked me out of the Twenty20, Swines! |

Looking like a good day all round for the CW teams; while Mahinda is off organising a piss-up in a brewery, his team look like getting the win and NRR boost to hoist themselves out of the automatic drop zone...
End of Over 15: 62-2, runrate=4.13, reqrunrate=0.34 (73-10) Fisher 1-0-2-0 Sandwith* 43 (35 balls) Fish 5 (19 balls) Needs to maintain a run-rate of 4 to nick 6th place, I believe... |

End of Over 48: 255-6, runrate=5.31
Cormack 9-0-51-2 Robertson* 107 (124 balls) Baines 9 (10 balls) In a very good position. We should get to about 270, making it very difficult for the opposition to chase down. My bowling attack is relatively unexperienced after i brought in 2 younger players, but they have been taking wickets against the better teams, so i can hope that they do the same today. Robertson continuing his fine form, just off the back of 2 50s, he's really deserved this ton, he is 32 after all.

All coming up roses here. Reached 300 exactly, thanks to 104 from Staveley, 95 Jeffery, and a pelvis-cracking 76* from Cash, off just 48 balls.
Given the deficit in NRR between Whos Your Daddy and ourselves, I'd really like to have bowled first, but if I can roll them for something in the order of 150, then there's still a boost of around 3 points to be had. Meanwhile Whos Your Daddy have been set a tough-looking 304 to win against Veets on a Dusty Pitch. I wouldn't back against them chasing it, although even if they do, they'll hardly get any NRR advantage from the game. Game on! Trev. Off to London now, to play in the Blind Cricket Cup final at Lord's tomorrow, so I'll have to catch up with it all on Monday. |

Gonna be tight for me.
Got bowled out for 240 something. But I did have them at 26 for two after ten overs.

Won very easily in the end.
We got 275/6 after the 50 overs, so it always looked like they would find it difficult to chase down. They didn't look in the game at all. We bowled them for 55 in 16.4 overs. Kahn and Sidebottom doing the damage with 4 wickets each. Dee Crew 275/6 after 50 Robertson - 112 (129) Mubarak - 56 (60) Cormack - 2/65 Rodgers - 2/60 Worcester_T - 55/10 after 16.4 Abikanile - 23 (34) Sidebottom - 4/9 Kahn - 4/8 Last edited by DCC_legend; 10-08-2007 at 08:14 AM. |

Being BT-****ed and then some. Two medium pacers taking 5 wickets in under 3 overs on a cracked pitch.
Wheat's going on the list, second golden duck in two league games.

Good start for me against Flintstones, got their best out second ball. A win will eliminate them from title competition.
End of Over 2: 7-1, runrate=3.50 Downer 1-0-3-0 Dempster* 2 (4 balls) Mason 1 (6 balls) Last Wicket: Midworth b. Watkins 0 (FOW: 0/1) |

Burrages11: 155/10 (46.5) Hardy 3/29 (8.5), Davies 3/30 (10)
The Heath CC: 156/1 (32) Grant 69* (96) Coasted to victory today against one of the many poor sides in my league. Gutted to lose the toss as I was hoping to bat first and get my trainees some more exposure, but Hardy bowled a good spell on debut, and the rest of the bowlers chipped in with regular wickets as well. Kepler (37) and Grant batted steadily to put on 89 for the 1st wicket before Kepler fell, leaving Thorpe to come in and bludgeon The Heath to victory with 35* from 29 balls. Grant passed 50 for the sixth time this season (2 50's, 3 100's, 1 200) and went past 900 runs in the process. Two more easy games to come, and then we start facing the prospect of losing a few in Div V. Last edited by Spitfires_Fan; 10-08-2007 at 09:01 AM. |

Watkins in good form, end of his spell unfortunately.
End of Over 9: 19-4, runrate=2.11 Watkins 5-2-7-4 Mason* 6 (25 balls) Jones 0 (3 balls) Last Wicket: Sam c. Richardson b. Watkins 0 (FOW: 19/4) This is a PAN btw, these guys beat me last time around. Edit: their middle order acquiesced, all but over. End of Over 13: 28-8, runrate=2.15 Harewood 2-1-2-3 Ludlam* 0 (2 balls) Hutchinson 0 (4 balls) Last Wicket: Hunt b. Harewood 0 (FOW: 28/8) Last edited by Adamc; 10-08-2007 at 09:19 AM. |

Geez, Ladbroke Rovers are incapable of losing. Needing 28 off the last two overs, comes up with this (start at the bottom):
49.6 4 Foster to Akram That is a classic on drive, one of the hardest shots in the book and Akram made it look easy. 49.5 1 Foster to Connelly Driven to wide mid off. 49.4 1 Foster to Akram Poked through the mid wicket region for a single. 49.3 4 Foster to Akram Bowling lesson number 72: If you bowl there, you will be punished. Four to add to the total. 49.2 1 Foster to Connelly Classic stroke, well fielded at point. It was worth more than one run to be fair. 49.1 1 Foster to Akram Henry has a shy at the stumps but Akram is comfortably home for the single, his dab to mid off having just crept through the ring. Sound judgement from the men in the middle. End of Over 49: 272-2, runrate=5.55, reqrunrate=10.00 (281-10) Musgrove 10-1-61-0 Akram* 52 (46 balls) Connelly 54 (41 balls) Last Wicket: Summerscales c. Brendell b. Salmon 88 (FOW: 183/2) 48.6 4 Musgrove to Connelly A long hop outside off and Connelly pulls that imperiously between mid-on and mid-wicket. 48.5 4 Musgrove to Connelly Nice shot, they'll get three here…oh terrible throw to Hlompho and they'll run an extra one. And that's his fifty! Well played. 48.4 4 Musgrove to Connelly A juicy full toss outside the off stump. Connelly slashes hard and the ball squirts away for four. 48.3 4 Musgrove to Connelly Short ball moving away outside off stump, Connelly pulls well to the long on boundary, good shot! 48.2 1 Musgrove to Akram Played into the off for a single, good calling and the batsmen are home easy. 48.1 1 Musgrove to Connelly Gently played to long on for a single. |
