Back after a drunken and expensive extended bank holiday and wedding anniversary. Expensive because yours truly managed to get pissed up at our barbecue on Sunday, tripped over a loose paving slab, put my hand up to save myself, and shoved a plant pot through our downstairs bathroom window. I had consoled myself with the fact that at least my hand didn't go through the window, but three or four double glazing quotes later, that's starting to become pretty cold comfort!

In happier news, one pop this week:

Joe Noon (444923)
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, superb batting form, proficient bowling form, sublime
A steady player with respectable leadership skills and feeble experience.
Plays For: Cymru Gurgitaters
Nationality: England
Age: 22 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 52,248 (+1106)
Wages: £6,709 p/w*
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: superb
Batting: superb Concentration: *exceptional*
Bowling: worthless Consistency: respectable
Fielding: worthless

By the time I'm finished with him, I guess he's going to be Rem/Elite Bat and Rem WK, isn't that pretty much the same as Armstrong Scaly?

And two bits of advice please, if anyone doesn't mind helping? Firstly, I've figured that Strong/Prof isn't really going to cut the mustard as a fifth bowler in div III, so I need to sell one of my eight batsmen, to buy a new bowler. A, who, purely as a batsmen, of the following two, would be best to hold on to, and B, who do you reckon would fetch the most on the TM. Cash is an all-rounder, but his age might reduce his value to something comparable with Mohammed, in which case I'm inclined to hold on to Cash, as I think he's going to be more use to me, in the short-term at least.

And secondly, how do you calculate which league you're going to promote into? And am I still in III.15, even after the NRR recalculation?

Had a good game against Mahindinho in the CW Cup 3rd/4th playoff on Sunday, though his bowling class eventually won out over my superior batting. He got 259 on a slow pitch, twenty or thirty more than I was really happy with chasing, and so it proved, although I was pretty impressed with getting 240 A/O, considering Greening and Staveley both failed.
