Well, John came on and blew away my opponent's top and middle order. He may be good, but he's also a spinner on a day one greentop. Not that I'm complaining!

He ended up finishing off the innings -- rather than go for the 2k BTR numpty at one end, he got the proper batsman to end on 15.4-8-15-6. 114 all out, and the chase begins.

I'll be looking to bat until lunchtime tomorrow, hopefully post 361, and go at them hard for the remaining two sessions. 50 overs left today, 35 before lunch tomorrow...hopefully that'll be enough to reach maximum batting points.

Their opening bowlers are a 40k RM with low PFL, and a 2k spinner at sublime! Presumably, after a couple of cagey overs, the runs will flow nicely.

112/1 from 21 overs, i.e. just 2 runs behind. 29 overs or so left today, so might manage 250 at close. Hayward out, Sandwith and McGregor set, and Reed still to come.

Excellent.

V. dull bot match; full points victory wrapped up by an innings and 334 runs shortly after tea. Slightly embarrassed to lose 5 wickets in my innings, but then I did put out the most out-of-form bunch of malcontents I could find knocking about the pavilion.

Batted for 110 overs for 177 runs today, not sure why I don't just try and lose but 10 of the 11 are absolute turd so no big deal.

My ratings are seriously being screwed by PFL at the moment so decided to sack FC games off.

228/2 at the close, i.e. 51 overs -- one more than I thought I'd get. Sandwith went just after tonning up, leaving Reed to keep McGregor company.

Assuming sunshine is still forecast tomorrow, I'll (hopefully!) hit max batting points shortly after lunch, and get at least a session to try and bowl them out again.

I'm still in with a chance of topping my FC league, but it's going to mean winning every match from here on in -- I'm almost a full victory behind Inter Yerma, thanks to my general lack of batting points. In OD, I'm fighting for survival again.

As usual FC side taking a beating. At home so will be looking to see through 2moro and get a 3rd days $$$. If only the fans knew of the scandal at their club!

Jacksons Giants: 219/10 (96.1) Woods 5/36 (23), Westwood 3/56 (20)
The Heath CC: 70/0 (13) Grant 37* (46), Bartlett 32* (33)

Slightly frustrating day today. Woods reduced Jacksons Giants to 19/4 but then their 5th wicket pairing put on 121 together. Another batsman down the order scored a 50, aided by some turgid batting from the tail, but we finally got them out and made a good start in our innings. Grant and Bartlett were obviously batting with the close in mind, they scored 32 from the last 3 overs!

Will bat on to around 500 tomorrow and then hopefully bowl them out on the final day.

Hit 362/6 dec.

Then bowled them out for 11 and 6. With 11 of those runs being extras.

Sometimes Halls plays those deliveries with commanding authority. This time, my granny could have hit it better with a stick of rhubarb.

Yessssss, Smart gets their top-scorer, making them 191/2 in pursuit of 464. Would be tops to graft out a win.
