139/0 from just 23 overs, in response to their 135ao. Believe it or not, the RR has slowed since tea -- it was up over 7 an over at one point.

At this rate, I should have picked up four bonus points by the end of today's play :)

Not exactly taking their bowling attack to pieces - Janes and Platt both depart for middling scores leaving Bromby to do all the work (again). Should still set a decent enough total, but my declaration target of 550 doesn't look to be in any danger whatsoever. Run-rate isn't really high enough for an overnight declaration to be tenable, either.

End of Over 42 (3 runs). Beard XI: 165-3, runrate=3.93
Lead by 72 runs. (hambledon Old Boys 93-10)
Travis 11-2-39-0
Alshaun* 19 (45 balls)
Bromby 43 (73 balls)

Edit: whereupon my team completely collapsed, losing
three wickets for one run in 6 overs
six wickets for five runs in 13 overs
seven wickets for five runs in 14 overs.

End of Over 56 (Maiden). Beard XI: 170-10, runrate=3.04
Lead by 77 runs. (hambledon Old Boys 93-10)
Travis 17-8-39-5
Pead* 0 (5 balls)

"Balls" is what I say to that.

Heh. What's the big man's stamina like, and is he getting knackered as the season wears on?
Superb. And yes he is, but I figure that a tired Bardle is better than my other bowlers.

End of Over 6 (11 runs). Jamees 999ers: 38-0, runrate=6.33
Trail by 238 runs. (The Emerald Knights 276-10)
Khulekani 3-0-21-0
Warnock* 21 (15 balls)
Snodin 16 (21 balls)

Bardle 26-11-31-5

Warnock* 62 (52 balls)

Warnock's a steady on defensive :p

Really good day's play for me.

Weedon Warriors: 217/10 (76.5) Hennessy 4/31 (17.5), Talbot 2/20 (8), Woods 2/48 (18)
The Heath CC: 118/0 (33) Grant 68* (100), Gibson 45* (100)

Hennessy (comp/fee spinner set to attacking) did really well and all of the other bowlers took wickets as well. I then expected to lose two or three early wickets to quality LF bowler Coppinger, but he had figures of 9-2-13-0. Grant carried on his good form and Gibson impressed as well in his first FC appearance. These two were set on defensive and very defensive respectively, but scored quickly against some of the backup bowlers, who are suffering with low PFL.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
All pretty good players there saggers. Pity you weren't buying earlier because I had a player very similar to Darby except with feeble keeping for only 400k.

Pretty annoyed with my game so far. My proficient openers were out for 64 & 37, then my better, superb, batsman looked great, striking at over a run a ball, only to get out a few overs short of tea in the 40's. Currently 4-210. Just a bit dirty, especially with the last two recognised batsmen in.

Mills took 6-33. Holmes was expensive with no wickets, 71 runs off about 20 overs. Murphy managed a single wicket for 33 runs (Murphy and Holmes are both respectable bowlers) while Knowles proved he was our Glenn McGrath taking 2-3 off 10.2 (7 maidens).

End of Over 63 (1 runs). Tawonga Tigers: 238-6, runrate=3.78
Lead by 73 runs. (WorldClass 165-10)
Stewart 12-2-46-2
Fordham* 23 (44 balls)
Knowles 0 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Ghandi c. Lucas b. Larkman 7 (FOW: 237/6)

We suck. This team is like, 5th. I've beaten the teams above him by massive amounts. pretty annoyed with my side here.

Edit: Playing 7 first team regulars as well.

68.2 6 Stewart to Fordham
Did it carry all the way? The third umpire says it did. Six runs.

End of Over 69 (9 runs). Tawonga Tigers: 256-7, runrate=3.71

Stewart 15-2-61-2
Fordham* 41 (60 balls)
Murphy 0 (18 balls)

Last Wicket: Knowles b. Larkman 0 (FOW: 239/7)

Fordham to push us past 300 on his own. Murphy surprisingly holding his own.

50 to Hammers. Love that guy so much. Might just make that predicted 150 team total.

EDIT: And he's gone. Top innings from the man. See if we can make it to lunch with the tail in? Nah.

80.5 4 Finch to Gravey
A big edge fine of third man.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

Forgot he was in the team. I think day 3 might be on :)

Haha, he declared at 300? Dumb.
Not really, he is going for the OD title and throwing every FC game, so the less points the better really. Means he will go down into an easier Div V and be able to coast in it and make a tonne of money.

Code:
End of Over 85 (1 runs). Four Pillars and Poor Fillers: 215-10, runrate=2.53
Trail by 92 runs. (Candy Randy Icecream 307-3 dec)
Finch	15-5-33-2
Allison*	22 (40 balls)
84.3 W	Finch to Poulter
Finch and Rosenior appeal for a faint nick... and the umpire gives it! Poulter doesn't look happy with that!
84.2 .	Finch to Poulter
He’s gone at that with hard hands but luckily the ball has not carried to gully.
84.1 W	Finch to Gravey
He's been caught out by the slower ball there and it's looped way up into the air; he must be caught! Gilbert juggles it! And it's caught!
84.1 wd	Finch to Gravey
Oh dear, he's got that all wrong. Big wide outside off stump that was nearly fielded by first slip!
The players are off the field for lunch.
'

Motivational speeches during lunch really pay off. Too bad not for my team.
