BARNES OUT
Gun effort from my boys today, Munroe made an unbeaten 188 and then we rolled them for 40-odd. Much better effort than before.

Hodge (woe-med) made 44 from over 110 balls, WAG.

Dismissed their side for 380 in the first over of the day. Wills took 71-3, Carroll 44-3 and Grant 72-2.
In reply my side raced to 474-5 before declaring with Grahame making 140 and Remaketse 164.
The opposition then batted for 10 overs and are 25 without loss which leaces me 70 odd runs in front. If I dismiss them tomorrow for under 300 runs I think I'll win.

Excellent second day, and should go on to win from here on a cracked pitch.

Yess, managed to take the game to day 3  . We made 216 in the 2nd innings, Appleyard the main contributor with 73. Chasing around 110 to win they're 4/84, if they suffer a BT collapse of the same proportions of their 1st innings I'm in with a shout. Otherwise, they should win.

Rather surprised to see my opposition keep batting this morning, considering they were already 492/3 overnight. Suits me though - hopefully I have the strength in my batting lineup to see out a draw, if for nothing else than to stop morale/member confidence falling any further.

End of Over 119 (3 runs). butterfingersXI: 511-3, runrate=4.29
Westwood 32-6-110-1

Batted til just after lunch to leave my opponents needing 230 or so. Janes with a scorching double century, Platt unfortunately required to chip in so my plan to rest him a bit down the order didn't exactly work. Never mind.

End of Over 76 (10 runs). Beard XI: 455-3, runrate=5.99
Lead by 253 runs. (dazza4 202-10)
Doughty 3-0-30-0
Platt* 94 (107 balls)
Janes 267 (213 balls)

Not doing too badly in my game...

508-8 Declared Gedye 238(282), Islam(My YP kicking on for his first score of repute) 150
301 all out(follow on enforced) Gedye 4-38
90-1 in 21 overs.
Pretty much everything going to the plan, would've liked to have dismissed them for cheaper though.

Burlington City 18a.o. (33.1 overs)
Downer 4-6 (17), Watkins 3-3 (10)

Asterix XI 366/1dec. (68)
Ashton 166*, Watkins 122*, Cuss 65

Burlington City 10/3 (8)
Downer 2-6, Watkins 1-0

Pretty thorough demolition. Surprisingly their elite bowler didn't take a wicket, he is on moderate fitness though.
Picked up the last seven wickets for three runs, Downer finishing with 4-8 and Whitehorne 3-1.

Was just starting to get bored and then this happened:

Code:
48.6	W	Oleary to Lewis
I think everybody heard that nick to Nagamootoo. Lewis didn't
even wait around for the umpire to raise his finger.
48.5	W	Oleary to Nolan
Nolan charged towards Oleary like a rhino on heat, only to miss
the ball and have Nagamootoo whip off the bails. Out!
48.4	.	Oleary to Nolan
 	 	Dabbed away to mid wicket.
48.3	.	Oleary to Nolan
On the back foot, managed to defend to the off, cover running
 	 	in to field.
48.2	W	Oleary to Hird
A swing and a miss. Clean bowled.
48.1	W	Oleary to Boyce
Attempts the cut but the ball is lower than Boyce anticipated
and he only succeeds in chopping it onto his own stumps!
Bowled him, albeit with some assistance!
Awesome. Should wrap this up inside two days, then. Oop, there goes another. :)

FFS what seemed like a game i could win after bowling them out for 325 or there abouts and going along at 102-2 at the close of Day 1's play.
This morning then i lose 3 wickets in the 1st dam over and collapse to 128/10!! THey just added 261 to that now! So im now chasing 458!!

Took 18 wickets today, gutted I lost the toss or else this game would've been over today. Should win by innings and 150-ish.

One player is struggling with his fitness which is down to fresh, I forgot to set my orders so I've rested a spinner who has sublime fitness and played a seamer who has fresh fitness now. Oops. Means I'll have to rest him on Friday which's bit annoying.

Had couple of needed pops on Monday too:

Dave Taylor - 19 yo, BT Rating=24,796
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, lively
An attacking player with feeble leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: remarkable Concentration: strong
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: woeful

Kenwynne Sekani - 22 yo, BT Rating=37,727
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, respectable batting form, superb bowling form, fresh
A steady player with woeful leadership skills and mediocre experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: mediocre Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: exceptional Consistency: strong
Fielding: feeble

Was furious at my remarkable bowler before lunch (Tuck 15-2-54-0 yesterday evening + this morning). Comes back and takes a wicket third ball.

172-4 defending 251 and into the respectables. Game on.
