Finally bowled them out for 180, hopefully knock that off in under 30 overs and get +2.5 or so for the game.

Mahindinho's lot lost 5 for 1 in 8 balls to get rolled for 148, reckon there's still a good chance he'll win tho.

I know I said I'd be happy to hit 150 after the start I had...but to then be 140/5 with five overs left, I reckoned 180 could be on. One quick wicket, then four in five balls, and I'm stuffed :@

UPDATE: Started well, Brooker taking 2/0 in his first over! This could be yet another close match

Yep, 26-3 now. The fact you batted out so many overs but still only scored 148 suggests to me that it's one of those 148ao vs 120ao type pitches that Battrick has had a fair few of this season.

Three out of their best four batsmen gone now (I think, going by BTR anyway). I hope you're right, Scaly.

Anyone know trevor_vayro's BT details? I'd like to check up on him, but don't know his team details.

My uber-concentration guys going nicely, they've scored tons of 1s, 2s and 3s with the odd boundary. Had two overs where they've scored three 3s.

I wouldn't bother coming to watch my game mate:-) Potatoheads 326/2 - Bent 1/Plenty, likewise Bridges M, everyone else not quite that good!

In reply I'm lulling them into a false sense of security, on 42/4 after 14. Bennett 8* (9), Cash 16* (51) Staveley 0, Greening 16. The comeback starts here - (Mind you I also think that one day Swansea City will win the Premier League and I'll celebrate by having a threesome with Charlotte Church and Kylie!)

Fingers crossed, Trev

D'oh!

*checks*

Sweet Jebus. Potato Heads 326/2 and Cymru already four wickets down.

Last time I give anyone advice.

My opponents 70/3 off 20 now - Brooker (3 wickets), Hirst (none), John (none) and Verma (also none) have all finished their first spells - Gibb and Hirst for the next 10 overs, and I need some wickets!

EDIT: It's Hirst on now rather than Brooker. Wishful thinking on my part.

Scaly Piscine CC wrap up victory in the 26th over chasing 181. After Packer went 6, 4, dot, out Armstrong came in and smashed 83* off 63 and Wheat 88* off 87. Should get a NRR bonus of over +3.5 which will be handy.

Gibb knocks Momberg over to finish an excellent first spell (5-0-9-1), and that's the last of the specialist batsmen. Carey, now in, averages 18.

Fingers crossed...

OMG i just beat the team coming first in my league of the last ball. Our greatest win ever. :D

Toolmanteam 230 All Out - King 50(55), Hick 135(142), Jeithoon 5/37(8.3)

lost to

Jaffna Jets 231 (50) - Quintin 65(96), Clayton 78(136), Ellis 52(40)

Ratings

Jaffna Jets Toolmanteam
Top Order: competent strong
Middle Order: competent woeful
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: mediocre competent
Spin Bowling: mediocre remarkable
Fielding: woeful woeful

I can't believe i won that match, some brilliant bowling from Jeithoon his first ever 5-fer and what a time to get it. Then a brilliant 110 opening stand from Quintin and Clayton, then my best batsmen Ellis finished them off. Im so happy with that win, im still 2nd, but if they don't win their playoff, im really confident i can knock them off next season.

Nice! Was it a four, with three required?

My opponents are 124/4 after 38 overs, chasing 148ao. Verma's 9-1-39-0 has been the difference so far, with the other bowlers all conceding three and over or less.

John finishes on 10-2-24-0, and Verma promptly concedes three runs off his last over's first ball :(

They think it's all over...

Bugger. End of game.

My opponents finished up 149/6 off 45.1 overs, consigning me to my first league defeat of the season :(

Very impressive win on my part today. Can't really do much in my league with 4th the lowest i can finish, played second place last week and lost - played first place this week, decided to GFI since im playing the bottom side next week. I figure he may have tie'd because he is playing second place next week.

Anyway put them in on a green pitch and Islam got their gun batsman early and then they collapsed from 180-5 to 186 all out in 46.2. Islam took 4-26, Pierce 3-47 and AKD 2-34. Young wickie Howell took 6 catches.

Challinor and AKD added 148 for the second wicket after Magloire had gone 2nd ball, a minor collapse but 4 byes gave me the winning runs. 6 wicket win. Vey happy.

I'm now on 36 points, whilst the top 3 are on 40. Unless i get a massive win i'll stay 4th. Been a close league this year - I somehow did the double over the team in 3rd but lost to 2nd place twice, the top team once and the team in 5th once.

Meh, I've got an absolute bargain on the transfer market and three others at a reasonable price and the only guy I've got a bid on so far is an all-worthless YP with respectable bowling...

When are their deadlines? If I get some decent* bids on Curtis soon, I'd be sorely tempted.

* The usual jokers are currently in there for £40k or so.
