Another good win for my side today:

Darrens Dynamoes: 95/10 (31.2) Woods 3/12 (5), Liddle 3/17 (6.1)
The Heath CC: 96/2 (21.3) Gardiner 47* (62), Thorpe 43* (60)

The Heath CC win by 8 wickets.

Bit of an experiment today, as I don't usually like to chase, but it worked out pretty well. My bowlers did a great job on an uneven wicket and after a couple of early wickets, the youth of Thorpe and experience of Gardiner saw us home without any further setbacks.

Ratings:

The Heath CC Darrens Dynamoes
Top Order: feeble woeful
Middle Order: feeble abysmal
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: feeble feeble
Spin Bowling: woeful woeful
Fielding: woeful woeful

We're on top on the our round 7 cup match at the moment. If we can remove Howland, then the rest of the Ferocious Ferrets batting lineup should fold.

End of Over 30: 118-5, runrate=3.93
Graham 10-1-32-1
Howland* 39 (57 balls)
North 7 (20 balls)

Last Wicket: Adcook b. Graham 4 (FOW: 83/5)

Jeez, my team is so dismal at the moment. Scraped through in the cup on a PAN though, changed from TIE at the last minute fortunately.

Asterix XI 304-9
Ashton 109 (106), Cuss 86 (103), Watkins 50 (34)

Peters Utd 286-4
Harewood 2-38, Downer 1-71, Watkins 1-78

Harewood finally did something of note, dismissed their miraculous batsman and more or less saved us. They had a decent batting lineup but I still think my bowlers have been underperforming of late.

Code:

              Peters Utd Asterix XI
Top Order: exquisite masterful
Middle Order: strong respectable
Lower Order: abysmal woeful
Seam Bowling: quality exquisite
Spin Bowling: respectable sensational
Fielding: feeble feeble
Got a nightmare schedule for the next few weeks:

Saint Barth Blondes (League)
Borderliners (Cup)
NorCricket United (League)
[possible cup final]
Borderliners (League)

Will probably just PAN all the way. Looking to sell Mattis and buy another batsman before next week.

Well, my side kept our cup dreams alive with an ultimately comfortable 6 wicket win this afternoon.

Ferocious Ferrets 176 (44.5 overs)
Sweeney 5/29

Whenuapai CC 4/177 (41.1)
Duggan 91* (116)

Code:
            Ferocious Ferrets Whenuapai CC
Top Order: quality remarkable
Middle Order: competent superb
Lower Order: abysmal woeful
Seam Bowling: quality quality
Spin Bowling: proficient exceptional
Fielding: feeble feeble

we host reverse sweepers next week, the side who won my division last season. i always felt that we had the better team, and i think on paper we should be able to topple them next monday. then again on paper, most of us predicted them to relegate, not auto-promote, last season.

Code:
reverse sweepers
Top Order: superb
Middle Order: proficient
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: masterful
Spin Bowling: proficient
Fielding: woeful
i was planning on using a slow pitch against napier during saturday's league game, but i don't think this will work out because i want to use a flat pitch against sweepers. is it possible to shift pich conditions two levels in two days? somehow i don't think that it would work out. perhaps i should go with a dusty pitch instead. anyone got any ideas? there is much to ponder in the next few days

Hopefully have a couple primary pops soon. Interesting to note that even is my string of losses pretty much all my main players' form is superb or strong. Maybe they are actually playing above their ability.
