boys i had my first game in battrick and here is the result.

caves_beachcc v runs (965148)
Date: 13/04/2007 Ground: caves_beachcc CG
Pitch: Green Weather:

caves_beachcc won the toss and elected to bat.
First Innings of: caves_beachcc (play as normal)

http://www.battrick.org/nl/main.htm
Bugs, if you're going to link to something on Battrick, you have to open the link in either a new window or a new tab (http://www.battrick.org/nl/matchInfo.asp?matchID=965148 in your case), otherwise you just get that generic URL which just takes you to the homepage.

Good to see you won though. You should be looking to get a spinner in your team though.

well, won easily today but reverse sweepers took a giant step towards securing the title as they saw off korn fed, keeping them 4 points ahead of me. next we need to win again and hope that somehow avonhead find an unlikely way to beat them. there is a flicker of hope, but its not much. but unless next season one of the better div III sides promotes we should be the favourite to win II.4

Got a bid of 8.25m on Crawford. Just need someone to bid on Baird and I might have a new addition to the bowling attack in time for Sunday's match.

Bloody drunks. Why don't they bid stupid money on my players?

Hope they're kicking themselves silly when they see:

End of Over 12: 68-1, runrate=5.67
Tedstone 1-0-2-1
Dylan* 28 (28 balls)
Keane 1 (3 balls)
Last Wicket: Jephcott lbw b. Tedstone 37 (FOW: 66/1)

WTF? Playing Smith, Canning's 5 overs went for 41, and it's a green pitch.

Edit: That's more like it

Code:
End of Over 22: 112-6, runrate=5.09
Canning	6-0-42-3
Dylan*	44 (54 balls)
Hodge	0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Sambrook Hit Wicket b. Canning 0 (FOW: 112/6)
21.6 W	Canning to Sambrook
Well that's certainly one way for a batsman to become acquainted with his stumps! It looks like Sambrook will now have some time to become better acquainted with his seat in the dressing room after that error in judgement.
21.5 W	Canning to Heads
That's a high ball and.....caught! Beautifully judged catch there. The breeze caused the ball to swirl but he's taken it cleanly.
21.4 .	Canning to Heads
Just nips away from Heads there, but he's aware and lets it through to Terry. Very nice delivery.
21.3 W	Canning to De beer
Like a hot knife through butter. Perfect delivery by Canning and he's bowled him.
21.2 1	Canning to Dylan
Banged in short. Dylan stands tall, gets on top of the bounce, drops the ball close on the off side and rushes for a single.
21.1 .	Canning to Dylan
Straight and Dylan gets the works behind it. He looks a model of concentration.

End of Over 21: 111-3, runrate=5.29
Erasmus	1-0-4-1
Dylan*	43 (52 balls)
De beer	0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Munroe b. Erasmus 24 (FOW: 111/3)
20.6 W	Erasmus to Munroe
Bowled. Any time you see a spinner persuade a batsman to offer what seems to be the perfect defensive shot and there is a crash of ash, you know you've seen something special
Wow, solid comeback in the end, all out for 124. Canning goes from 5-0-41-0 to 9.1-1-43-7. Dylan standing tall with 54* off 69

Getting hammered by Rodgie.

Code:

Carr	2-0-14-0
Pollard*	52 (55 balls)

My bats have done nothing of late, so i doubt i can chase 170 let alone 300. Especially because i messed around with the orders. Could have a huge loss on my hands here.

Hocking 71 (74 balls)

Hockings first innings in a long while. Starting to peg back the RRR, but problem is, i have a comp and a bunch of worthless's in the sheds. So i assume it will be Rodgie 2 Me 0.

Jesus Christ you really are a **** (take your pick, anything will do)

Anyway, Canning and Grififin took me home against Smith after Pryde gave me a little bit of an early scare.

At one stage it looked like Smith was going to put on at least 270 or so, but Canning came back and dismissed numbers 5-11, with Dylan playing a real captain's knock and carrying his bat. Fairly sure that's the first time he's taken 7 wickets, so I'm pretty happy.
