Dead Badger

State 12th Man
Off to a flyer on a TIE against what will shortly become the third bot in my div V, having been abandoned by its owner at the start of February.

End of Over 9: 58-0, runrate=6.44
Soloman 5-0-23-0
Bromby* 32 (26 balls)
Liebenberg 26 (28 balls)

Nice though the fitness and morale boost from the bots/abandoned teams is, it's getting a bit dull. There isn't a single match in my league today where the result is in serious doubt. Have they stopped giving div V teams to new players or something?

End of Over 20: 126-0, runrate=6.30
Osborn 5-0-29-0
Packer* 75 (68 balls)
Wheat 49 (52 balls)

Unusual for them to put on a good opening stand even tho they average 46 and 60 respectively.

Slowed down massively, as you do when you've got 10 wickets remaining on a flat pitch with plenty of stamina left...

End of Over 30: 162-0, runrate=5.40
Person 5-0-25-0
Wheat* 74 (80 balls)
Packer 85 (101 balls)

Edit: Just hit 16 off an over... hmm

'Smashed' 9 runs off the 4 pre-slog overs off two below par bowlers - completely absurd. Now for the binary overs, first one was 111111. I'm one wicket down ffs.

First 7 overs of slog: 39 singles, two fours. No boundaries for more than five overs. Zzzz.
Yea, it's amazing how something exciting (even if it's not some people's cup of tea) and dramatic in real life ends up being so monotonous and predictable in Battrick. Even the collapses that should be exciting are kinda dull. I hope now Allan has done a load of rewriting that he'll finally look at it instead of just adding on (albeit nice) bells and whistles.

Anyway:

End of Over 50: 301-2, runrate=6.02
Burgess 10-0-73-0
Obrien* 12 (6 balls)
Armstrong 48 (33 balls)

Last Wicket: Wheat st. Kopano b. Betsy 128 (FOW: 281/2)

88 off the last 10 I think

End of Over 2: 5-0, runrate=2.50, reqrunrate=4.19 (205-10)
Douglas 1-0-3-0
Findlay* 3 (5 balls)
Coates 2 (7 balls)

Should get these comfortably im batting.

Hmm, Ladbroke Rovers have something to chase this week.
Hmm Ladbroke's standard one really crap bowler went for 48 in his first 5 then bowling in the slog overs only went for another 38. Will have to follow it that match, about time Ladbroke lost a competitive game.

Saying that Cow Corner is the only side with a realistic chance of pulling of the upset in England.

Summers in good figures shocker:

End of Over 6: 19-2, runrate=3.17, reqrunrate=6.43 (301-2)
Summers 3-2-3-2
Macdonald* 4 (8 balls)
Daniel 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Mcgreal c. Preece b. Summers 12 (FOW: 19/2)

6.3 W Pace to Macdonald
A miscommunication leaves Macdonald stranded.

That's their strong top order gone, now just competent middle order and abysmal lower order left.

Overs 11-20 getting creamed as usual. Doesn't matter which of Dillon, Preece and Tynan bowl on defensive orders and how weak the batsmen are in comparison and how they've just come in after the top order got ripped to shreds it nearly always happens.
