Beat that for the kiss of death! 3 overs, 3 wickets, and I'm now 67/5, chasing 95 - one more wicket and I'm in trouble.

Having been 6/2 (Reed out for a duck), Sandwith and Hayward recovered to 60/2, and it's not looked so good since.

I can't see how much i got for gate receipts and the match is long over too. Should i be worried about something?

I must be the only team in Battrick that can go into the last 10 overs with a remarkable-proficient and a strong-wonderful against mediocre/woeful batting ratings and concede 58 runs. If I go against complete crap with Armstrong and another high order player in I'm lucky to get 70 off the last 10.

Also noticed something very strange, as this is my acutal ground condtions:
Capacity: 20000
Standing Room: 13000
Uncovered Seats: 4000
Covered Seats: 2000
Members Seats: 1000

But this what it shows in today's match:
Attendance: 24587
Standing: 11162
Uncovered Seats: 9387
Covered Seats: 2968
Members area: 1070

How is that possible? Anyone?

I love a man. And his name is GARETH BARDLE!

End of Over 13: 55-4, runrate=4.23
Bardle 7-2-13-4
Janes* 1 (1 balls)
Parlour 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Leroy c & b. Bardle 22 (FOW: 55/4)
12.6 W Bardle to Leroy
What a shocker straight back to a calm Bardle. If Leroy is going to play shots like that he might as well stay in the pavilion.
12.5 1 Bardle to Janes
Ooh, Janes has freed up the arms there, but he's caught it high on the blade and Culkin is running back for it..... it just falls safe in the outfield and one run is scored.
12.4 W Bardle to Bullard
Awesome yorker right on target, Bullard too late on the defensive shot, misses it, ball smashes the off stump out of the ground.
12.3 W Bardle to Graham
Graham hammers that one, but Gowshall foils him and takes a great catch deep on the boundary.
12.2 . Bardle to Graham
Clipped off the legs, but only as far as square leg.
12.1 W Bardle to Newton
He's gone for the big hit but has been caught on the boundary!
Followed up by batting heroics:

Bardle 6 (40 balls)

And that's the end of the match. Jamees 999ers won by 3 wickets.
The Vandals CC 111-10
Jamees 999ers 112-7

92/5...and Sandwith seals it with a delicious on-drive for four. Left on 47, so yet another lump of experience missed.

That was considerably closer than I thought it'd be, at the halfway point.

Gonasilan did his usual trick of staying around, this time for something like 6 from 23 balls - he's been VERY useful for closing out tight matches this season. Feeble/Strong batting, coupled with a defensive temperament.

1st vs 2nd (or possibly 3rd on NRR) in my league now, with Inter Yerma (2nd/3rd) on 258/3 after 46.3, chasing Boycotts_Grandmother's 261/10.

...and they've done it. That throws the league pretty wide open again, with four teams capable of winning it.

Had a spot of bot bashing today rolled them for 29 with Jeithoon getting 4 and got the runs in 3.3 overs.

I've had the last couple days of so i've been putting together my stats since i took over Jaffna Jets. The following are my Top 10 batsmen and bowlers of all time:

Batsmen
Code:
Ellis 2651
Ferrier 2501
Clayton 2436
Nurse 2026
Quintin 1884
Girubaharan	986
De Silva 537
Muralitharan	438
Obeysekera	427
Hodge 335
Ellis has really taken off in the last two season, Clayton been amazing this season and looks like he might leap frog Ellis at the rate his going. I'm surprised i got so many runs out of Nurse (respectable/woeful), but a lot of his runs were against minnows, mind you no other respectable batsmen has scored as many against half decent sides as Nurse. Surprised Hodge is still there from my first season, but i expect my new signing Lucas to jump ahead of pretty soon.

Bowlers
Code:
Priyantha 126
Dowdall 87
Rangana 74
Kinsella	69
Baptiste	68
Jeithoon	68
Pushpakumara	45
Muralitharan	45
Girubaharan	23
Sishayi 23
Still slighty dominated by our first season bowlers, with Priyantha having a pretty big lead. Dowdall was catching pretty fast, but has struggled to take wickets since i stopped bowling him at the depth. Jeithoon climbing at a rapid rate already got 35 wickets at the half way point in the season. In the past 12 months (BT time) his got 64 wickets, since he started playing regularly. I expect him to take over from Priyantha sometime next season.

You and me, were idly,
Clobbering bots...

(I've had this stuck in my head all day, to the tune of the Super Furries' "Gathering Moss", needed to let it out)

Anyway, the Beards sail into a majestic second place at the half-way point, and with a rejigged GFI strategy and lively fitness, are looking well set to defend that position in the second half of the season. Woot.

Mind you, my morale is still annoying me. I now have 6 wins, 3 losses in competitive matches this season; my last two results were huge wins, and yet my morale is exactly where it started, on happy. What gives? It maketh no sense. My members know what's what - they're ecstatic.

Oh yeah, good result. All to play for... :)

Fairly easy win today against the team who are the league's whipping boys really. I got 296 with the top four getting 50, then they got 206 in reply wth only two people getting more than 13.
