Not really, me and adam were the finalists last time (I beat nibbs in the semi). Anyway none of this byes lark.

I don't see why we can't just wait for them. It's not as though we'll be in a rush to fit it all in - we're in week 7 aren't we? Say we start in week 11 - that gives us a good 7 weeks.

But if people do want to start ASAP, then I guess we could just make a group of 3 with 2 lower seeds, and assume that they've gone through... Or, if we were to be bold, we could have a "qualifying" tournament to narrow it down to 16? Like the weaker teams play off for spots in the big thing. How would people react to that? It'd give us something to do while we wait for Adam to bow out in embarrassing fashion.

Gives us 7 weeks *if* the 20 over stuff doesn't interfere and everyone actually gets the challenges in like they're supposed to. We'll shortly hit week 6, but I really don't see the point in waiting a month for 2 teams. It's boring anyway because we know one of those two will end up winning anyway because they've got the big advantage of starting in season 1.

Why not play the tournament, and then have the finalists + nibbs and adam in a Champions' Trophy (for lack of a better word)?

Because it sounds like a bad idea, and it's not as though they are unbeatable (nibbs didn't even make the final last season, and I wouldn't be surprised if any number of teams beat either of those 2).

But yeah Scaly, I think it'd be better if we have the best teams in it, otherwise it's really no fun.

I'm still in the BT-England Cup, but would definitely be up for it if I've been knocked out by the time the CW Cup starts.

if nibbs wins his cup or is runner-up it'll be 6 weeks before we can start.

If we're going to wait we may as well have some qualifying rounds for the dregs.

but how are we going to judge who are those so called dregs?

The West Indies Cup starts finishes in 4 weeks and I dont think it would be respectful to lower CW members that have just started the game in the last few months to not even get into the main draw

Hmmm, my game is against a pretty decent side so not sure whether I'll get through to the next round anyway so I'll almost certainly be in.

I say wait until week 9 and do a roll-call. I'm sure those left out aren't going to cry over not getting into the draw as they'll be on cup runs.
