Cricket Web Battrick XI

Ahem. Sorry.

Dave Taylor - 19 yo, BT Rating=27,856
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, strong batting form, strong bowling form, lively
An attacking player with feeble leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: remarkable Concentration: strong
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: woeful

:p

I don't know if I'd have Taylor at #3 with his mediocre stamina. He'd be very good later in the innings with his attacking temperament. The #5 spot is perfect for him IMO.

There isn't much difference between mediocre and competent stamina really. Taylor might be better down the order. But Harris would probably be dire at 3. Worst batsmen in the Top 6 and he would be in the most important position.

Would swap Harris & Taylor in that team tbh, or even just drop Harris to 5, and move both Beaumont & Taylor up 1 spot.

As requested, I've swapped Taylor and Harris -- with only Feeble stamina, it made sense to have Taylor as a lower-middle order blaster, but it's not such an issue now that he's hit Mediocre.

Harris has all next season to dominate the CW U/19 squad, may aswell give him a rest for now.

Isnt it amazing that Harris (Quality-Prof Bat) is so close to the squad but Sicelo (Quality-Resp Bowl) is no where near it. Good to see now CWers are going for batting depth.

Time for an update.

Allen sold and replaced by Kealy from 999ers. Cloete hasn't posted here for a couple seasons so his players have been taken out. Replaced by Mohammed and Jeithoon. If Hing actually does quit or sells Mccammon then I would replace him with Btudia in first. With Chanderpaul from Citzens coming into the 2nd XI I guess.

Craig Harris - 21 yo, BT Rating=55,344
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, respectable batting form, superb bowling form, invigorated
A cautious player with respectable leadership skills and feeble experience.
Stamina: proficient Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: woeful Concentration: woeful
Bowling: sensational Consistency: remarkable
Fielding: respectable

See ya later Jeigoon. :p

In all seriousness, and stopping my bullying, cheers for the update mate. Interesting to see that the 1st XI is pretty much stagnant now if you discount selling of players.

How many of the 2nd XI are being trained everyone? 2/3 of mine are getting nets but only one and thus they are a long way away from reaching the 1st XI.

Jeithoon due to pop to remarkable cons on Monday and has better stamina. So he will only be in the side for two days. Would replace Kealy if anyone. Also noticed Chanderpaul from Citzens is sensational batting, so he replaced Chanderpaul from Boggles.

There is a fair bit of competition for places actually, well in terms of batting at least. Morrison is probably a better batsmen overall then Aston, but Aston's keeping would keep his spot. Mccammon regardless of being sold, is only slight ahead of Btudia and Greening in terms of secondaries. I think it is like remarkable to wonderful. Both are still getting trained so it shouldn't be too long before both replace Bertos and Mccammon.
