Id just work on getting Blewitt, Kenna and Fleming out of the team and replacing them with respectables and proficients.

Hmmm... assuming that's your batting order, I'd have Lockwood and Nash above Kenna and Berry. You're obviously giving Stevens a lot of nets, but I notice you don't have any other players under 20, so maybe you could look for/pull a new trainee next season? You shouldn't be bowling Fleming, regardless of his secondaries, cause mediocre is just too low IMO. Wainwright's getting on as well, so you might want to consider keeping an eye out for a new allrounder in a season or two's time.

Good idea though, think I might do something similar.

Might be a good idea for everyone to have a thread for their team, asking about what to improve etc etc

That is my Lineup. yeah i have alot of older players and most nets go on Elvins and Stevens and a couple on Berry.

Berry only bats that high because the battrick assistant says hes better then the others.

Nash seems to always get out in the 30's

and lockwood used to be a gun and has become a dud.

Keep it one thread IMO, don't want to clutter it up, and then some teams won't get noticed. Just wait a while between posting teams.

And Ash, regardless of what battrick assistant says, I wouldn't be batting a mediocre in front of proficients.

Nash will keep getting out for 30s because they've abysmal stamina. Basically you've got 2 batsmen you can rely on for runs - the two openers - after that you'll be lucky to get anything against a decent team. With Battrick's OD engine you basically have guys who average 100 or more, as your openers have done, then there's a big drop. You need to have more reliable bats and less bits and pieces batters of the mediocre, competent variety and the proficient-woeful types. These won't help you win games, they'll get a few against crap teams that you'll thrash anyway and maybe one decent 30-40 a season against a good side. You need to get Nash's stamina up and then they'll be a be a reliable scorer for you (obviously they'd need promoting up the order when the stamina is better).

I presume you're still training Elvins, you need to keep doing this for a while and get them up to superb+. I would recommend selling Lockwood, you should get 300k minimum and get in a boring young trainee batsman like the one I've got:

4. Steven Obrien - 17 yo, BT Rating=6,527
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A steady player with woeful leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: respectable Concentration: competent
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: feeble

They're nothing special, but they've got the basics and you only need to give them one batting net (although I'll give them some stamina training eventually) but they're solid and in a couple of 18 week seasons they'll have 3 extra levels of batting without you hardly having to do anything. There should be a few of these players on the market on a Tuesday (ie when people do their YP and list them straight off).

I wouldn't bother with fielding nets personally (unless it turns out that it's a really important factor in FC cricket) and especially as none of those players are all-rounders, you'll get 2 fielding pops and one extra useful con pop a year for a young player - fielding hardly seems to makes a difference in OD cricket and one con pop a year is hardly worth noting.

Um unless I'm completely mis-informed, don't they improve the conc pop times?

They do, but not by much any more. A 17yo with primary+fielding net will get about two con pops per season, as opposed to one pop if they don't have the fielding net, so it really only adds one pop per season as he said.
