You'll only get an extra level of concentration about every 15 weeks on a fielding net at 17. So not much benefit apart from fielding pops every 8 weeks, which won't make much difference when you come to sell.

Hi all, i've just recently registered and i've been playing battrick for about 6-7 weeks and i'm not doing too badly, having improved my squad considerably, although I won't be anywhere near up to your standards.
Any help with this squad - who to get shot of etc and what nets would be appreciated

Ok these are your best trainees, I'd probably limit the training to these (even then that's a high number of trainees). Boulton looks a lowish-mid strong and is easily worth training up to superb and possibly a bit of stamina training up to mediocre or competent as well. He'll slow down a fair bit after facing about 80-100 balls on feeble stamina (or get out).
I wouldn't bother with any fielding or any other fitness nets. What's left just give them all a relevant primary net each (so your wickie gets a batting and wicket-keeping net) and then give your best trainee(s) a duplicate primary net (don't bother with a second wicket-keeping net).

Thanks for the feedback. They are the players I have been netting, bar Boulton who has been getting between 70 and 146 in most matches - his wages are 2,459 if that helps as to whether he is a low strong?) I left him as he is 23....I take it it's best not to sell him, but to keep? He's by far my best player on performance.........I don't have much cash - 130k, but I don't need to buy any trainees.

I would purchase 10 ITS each week (assuming it doesn't put you in debt) but leave the condition of the academy to get worse for now. Even with a bad academy you can still get nice youth pulls. Keep building up the ITS til next season then after everyone ages use them up then. You'll want to round out your stadium in the off-season, doesn't matter if you go into a little debt to do this, you'll get the money back pretty quickly.
As for your squad you should probably sell most of those that aren't going to play, if they're of trainable age you should try and sell them as quickly as possible because they'll decrease in value while they're doing nothing and getting older. Unlikely to fetch much for most of them obviously.

I'd be giving Abdul Kadir and Woodward a net personally, taking nets off Barton and Barrow. With your squad I'm not sure I'd bother with Barrow to be honest unless he's going to pop to competent-proficient shortly. Has no fielding and he's not very high to start with.

Kinda defeats the purpose if you sell someone else and stop training Lambert as well. Personally I'd keep him on two bowling nets and sell him at the start of next season, should get 1m+ for him when he pops to proficient.

I got five people I'm training:
Brough - 1 x fitness, 2 x batting (woeful stamina, resp batting)
Toney - 1 x fitness, 2 x batting (feeble stamina, resp batting)
Lambert - 2 x bowling (resp bowling)
French - 1 x bowling (mediocre close to comp)
