I wouldn't change your training or anything based on these. There's a fair bit of variability on most of the midlevel ones, could take a month, could take two months. The midlevel/high etc. all relate to the primary, nothing else.

Thanks for that Scaly.

I think I'm gonna stick to waiting till a few pop to competent and selling them off in favour of buying a really good trainee. Think that trainee should be batsmen or bowler? I think I might put Lambert on two bowling training (taking away Whitfield's bowling nets)

I'd say bowlers are more important than batsmen man for man, in particular M/FM/F bowlers - ie non-spinners. So maybe train a seamer first to make a bigger difference. If you're looking at training an all-rounder at some point tho I'd train one of them up fairly early. All-rounders are the most important players but of course they'll need more nets and will probably be too drained (in terms of their fitness level) for you to play them in matches for quite a while. All-rounder trainees are also pretty expensive as well.

Well after some players pop I'll sell them, to buy that new trainee. Doesn't look like I'll get a bowling one for under 70,000 pounds. Probably get him start of next season though, so I get longer to train him

Just wondering if either CricketFanAA or JasRulz63 would like some match practice in the CW Cup. We got one spot free if either are interested.

Well I can't sorry, already have a friendly arranged.

Umm....got one more thing to ask Scaly. How much would I be looking at to get a trainee (17yo) with respectable primary and good secondaries? And probably not worth buying until start of next season?

BARNES OUT
If you wait until the start of next season respectable primary 17 year olds will be over 1million pounds. Better off getting one now. Even then about 3 or 4 weeks back I payed 700k for one.

Depends how nice they are really, since you're looking for potential you can get by with guys that have lower stamina, like woeful/feeble etc. If you look for someone that's respectable-mediocre with respectable stamina they'll cost 1m+ most of the time early in the season. You can get players midseason for a lot less, but when you have your nets at your disposal you're losing out on ~8 weeks of prime training time, so it's quite a sacrifice.

There will always be bargains out there tho and keep a look out for high wages. High competents with nice secondaries are worth looking as well as respectables.

Well I guess I'll hold off till next season, even if I do buy mid-season, I'll still have 8 weeks to train him, compared to 5 weeks now. Unless, there is a real bargain.

Is he worth training ^^

If so, what training? Bought him for 46k, so not that expensive.

Just give them a bowling net as they're a just for profit trainee really. At superb-woeful you could get not far off 2m for them.

He only cost 46k as he has no secondaries, if you want him to play you need a fielding net as well. But its going to take a season until he can play effectively really. Even then he will be inconsistent.

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
Just the one? Oh well, 46k seems quite cheap for a proficient.
Well you're training for profit, so one net over say 24 weeks is more likely to get two consistency pops and is more efficient than two nets over around 15-16 weeks which is very unlikely to get two consistency pops. Plus ~24 weeks will mean he'll still be ready in time for you to buy a trainee at the start of the season after next if you wanted to.

Got that guy for 120k, now what nets to put on him?

I'm thinking 1x stamina, 2x batting and 1x fielding

I'd probably leave the fielding net til later and make a decision then. It'll be a bit of a waste if you end up selling them anyway.
