Where should i improve

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
The reason why i think Jeithoon is the key for me is that his three levels higher then my other trainees at the same age. But its going to be a while until i can give him another two nets, so re-evaluate it then.

I know my players secondaries and stamina are very poor, but with secondaries there not much you can do, cus even with a fielding net its not going to improve that fast unless you have it long term IMO. With stamina on the other hand it is something that i can work on, with Jeithoon's possible fitness/keeping net. I'm likely to share it around to atleast get all my main players up to mediocre stamina, then respectable.

The plan to improve my secondaries is just to continual upgrade. Once i finish training Sishayi, Sisk and Ferrier they will all be sold for players with a lot better secondaries hopefully. Its seems you get a lot better value for your money for uber players with very good secondaries then say superb or below players.

I could be going down the wrong track, but thats my thinking ATM.

Quality-crap will sell for over 3m no problem, I think you'll start to see less of superbs and strongs going for so much because there'll become more common and managers more selective. Uber players are obviously going mid-season go for 7-8m plus change, so yea it's a simple choice really. How long this will last tho is anyone's guess. That 7-8m mark will likely creep up because of inflation and teams having more money anyway.

I would want to get a bowling net on Islam and Verma getting a bowling net wouldn't be a bad thing either, but you can go either way on that one. Three batting nets on Abdul Kadir is overkill, the third one will hardly contribute. Given how bad your current wickie is and how 4 of your bowlers are rabbits you could do with a wicket-keeper who can bat. You can either buy one which will cost you a fair bit and then you'd probably need to upgrade again a few seasons later. Another option is to turn Abdul Kadir into your wicket-keeper. With one wicket-keeping net he'd be respectable in a couple of seasons (he'd be 21), unless he's high woeful to start with. It would be a long-term commitment but since you're obviously going all out to make him into a gun player that's not a problem. If you put him on say 2 bat, 1 w/k for 4 seasons he'd be about miraculous-masterful batting, superb/quality wicket-keeping.
Cheers for the help, Scaly. After Thorp pops to remarkable, his nets are going to Islam or Verma, with another going to Rao. The wicketkeeping thing is a good spot, I must say. Im a bit undecided, on making Rujul into a 'keeper. I found this guy on the TM going for 100,000 feeble/competent/mediocre with respectable wicketkeeping. If I can get him for a respectable price, Ill take one net of Thorp and one of Rujul, and put two nets on him. To help the new guy's development.

Because the fact of the matter being that Rujul atm, is only woeful so it'll take a long time to actually get anything worthwhile out of him, so if I get this guy, With two nets, he should be wherever Rujul could potentially be, a lot quicker.

Yes, but will he be in your team long-term?

Personally, I'd go for a long-term wickie who can bat a bit. My current guy can, just barely, but he was always a quick fix - my last WK was once found holding his Woodworm upside down. So, I've got a 17yo in training (batting and WK), who may not even get a sniff of league action for the next two seasons.

Looking at Rujul's stats, well, you're right - he won't really get much past Respectable WK. However, if you're going to train up a 'keeper, I'd definitely try and make him a decent batsman too. In terms of benefit to the team, training "one batsman + one WK" would not be as good as training "one WK-batsman", as you'd then be able to, in effect, field an extra bat.

You should be giving Bertos a batting net at least, I'd take away Mills' second batting net.

Thats exactly what I'm hoping to do with my 17yr old, since he's as good as my current WK with respectable keeping, and his batting is better, so ill be training him as a WK-Batsman, and I'll continue to train Rujul as a batsman.

Disley- 2x batting,1x fielding
Giles- 2xbowling,1xfielding
Lovers- 1xbowling
Tucker- 2xbatting,1xstamina

Should probably take Lovers out of the nets seeing as he is well behind in regards to the nat team. Will move Tuckers stamina back to Giles when it pops to prof and move one of the fielding nets to Tucker. I really need an all rounder and keeper/bat but i just cant see where id be able to make any nets available for them.

Lovers is not too for off the NT team but saying that Summers is Exq/Eli and just got dropped but depends which direction you want to go in terms of your team or NT Team.

He's a bit of, only just popped to exq last week so hes a level of bowling behind plus plenty in secondaries and batting

I would probably stop with Lovers, his wages will start hurting, esecially if he isnt in the NT team. Also next season i would think about bringing down the trainees you have now to 1 net each, so that you can bring in some fresh blood. Id also think about dropping Richards to 1 net now, assuming you got a trainee to use the net.

First up, you've got 3 fitness nets - do you really need them all? McIntosh has Strong stamina, so I'd take his off him straight away.Gratton's Mediocre, so that's okay, but Vincent's Competent - I'd regard his as a "low priority" net, only to be used if you really have nothing better to do.

I agree that McIntosh should have 2 bowling nets, and that Speare will benefit from 2 batting nets (I assume he's high Comp, anyway).

However, I reckon Vincent has all-rounder potential there, esp. if you add a fielding net into the mix. Gratton also has overly low secondaries.

Lastly, Bullivant is a bit old to be trained up from Respectable - he's never going to be that good, and should be overtaken soon by some of the others. He is nicely rounded though, so perhaps train him to Proficient and flog him for a good amount?

So, this is what I'd do:

McIntosh - 2 bowling
Speare - 2 batting
Vincent - 1 bowling, 1 batting, 1 fielding
Gratton - 1 batting, 1 fielding, 1 fitness

Mahindinho

State Vice-Captain
One more thing, actually - Lebohang and Edgehill are both 26, with decent primary and much lower secondary. These are the type of players who'd really benefit from a fielding net - they'll pop fairly quickly, hopefully, and you'll see their performance increase a fair bit in just a season.

I would also consider putting two on Mills once Reimann pops in batting. I would take out Benjamin and maybe give Gleeson fitness net to Mills as a bowling net until Reimann pops.

I'd look to sell Benjamin and that'll free up a net, that's the obvious thing to do.
Mills just popped to respectable. I think I'll sell Benjamin to recoup my losses.
