Still not working...
Don't hold your breath. We had a similar problem in WI a few weeks ago and cup matches were delayed one week. As long as it only affects div V teams I don't care. :p

Just saw a 19yo respectable spinner go for 43k - all his other attributes were worthless/abysmal/woeful, but still good value, might have considered buying him if I had nets available. Transfer market seems to have stagnated a bit, so I'm not sure whether to sell my players now or wait a bit. Though I don't see how waiting will force the prices up...

Big spender. I paid 147k for a 19yo proficient bowler with feeble consistency and woeful stamina last season, thought it was a lot at the time but prices are crazy these days. Still thinking of selling my captain and replacing him with a 17yo batsman proficient early next season. What would you pay for this?

I don't need his bowling or leadership anymore which is why I want to sell him, and get a trainee who will be a better batsman within 7 weeks or so.

Made a few changes since the start of the season, this is my current lineup (ignoring my crap secondaries and stamina):

Code:
[B]Name Age	BTR	Bat Bowl WK[/B]
1	Cuss 20	15,446	quality
2	Gillete (+)	21	8,854	competent proficient
3	Berry (LF)	23	10,711	strong competent (R)
4	Gillespie (RFM)	24	14,976	proficient strong (b1)
5	Bridge 21	4,886	respectable mediocre (R)
6	Rocastle	20	4,454	competent
7	Begg 20	4,239	respectable
8	Malik (LHS)	18	5,514	mediocre competent (b4)
9	Pollock (RM)	19	6,520	abysmal respectable (b2)
10	Male (RM)	20	6,369	abysmal proficient (b5)
11	Badley (LF)	18	5,593	abysmal proficient (b3)

12	Barrett 24	2,939	competent
If I'm against a weak batting lineup or a strong bowling lineup I'd take out Pollock for Barrett and make Berry bowl. With my current training regime, Badley, Pollock and Malik will pop in bowling again before the end of the season, and Malik will pop in batting. Possibly Cuss as well, but I'm taking him off training as soon as I get a YP or transfer batsman. Looking for two batsmen to replace Rocastle and Begg soonish, youth academy...

Wow, thought Gillespie would have been more than strong bowling. Here's the guy I bought for 15.5K yesterday with worthless form:

8. Andres Cooper - 28 yo, BT Rating=2,559
LH Batsman, LF Bowler, worthless form, Healthy
A steady player with strong leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: feeble Concentration: woeful
Bowling: competent Consistency: feeble
Fielding: abysmal

Makes a pretty good captain and I'll just sell him on next season when something better comes along. The age doesn't bother me... 21 or 28 it doesn't really matter when they're just gonna be around for a season. He has 3.4-1-5-1 at the moment.

Yeah, he definitely performs a lot better than his actual ability, and his secondaries aren't flash either. He's only just strong as well, I trained him early last season and stopped as soon as he popped. The main reason he's so successful is because my other bowlers aren't good enough to get many wickets in overs 10-40, so he just cleans up in the last ten, helped a bit by bowling orders and his destructive temperament.

Now that the importance of secondaries has been made obvious to me by Badley's repeatedly crap performances I've hired fielding coaches and whatnot, so Badley should be better (in theory) than Gillespie by next season.

Just put two 20-something competent 'bowlers' on the market for 5k apiece, come and get 'em while they're still hot:

Code:
Mick Holt - 29 yo, BT Rating=1,630
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, woeful form, Healthy
A destructive player with strong leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: woeful Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: competent Consistency: woeful
Fielding: woeful
Code:
Samudra Singh lali - 26 yo, BT Rating=1,447
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, abysmal form, Healthy
A steady player with competent leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: woeful
Bowling: competent Consistency: woeful
Fielding: abysmal
The best I can say about them is that Holt took 4-0 against Steds, and Singh Iali is a useful fourth-reserve drinks-carrier.

Wow I just kicked some behind in my league match against my first human team

Magical Ponies 3/342
Kenna 186* (146), Williamson 81 (111), Sutton 52 (34)

Spaz 10/179 (40.4 overs)
Heard 2/19 (7), Andrew 2/22 (8), Cave 2/24 (5.4)

Kenna continues to impress, with that being his 5th hundred of the season.

Finally bowled the opposition out for 120... off 43.5 overs.

I have a feeling extras could well have been their top score.

Seems your batsmen are enjoying themselves:
Code:
15.6 4	Mullins to Shields
Too wide and cut away for four.
15.5 4	Mullins to Shields
wider delivery, picked up over cover for the boundary
15.4 4	Mullins to Shields
Short and on his hips, worked away to the boundary.
15.3 4	Mullins to Shields
Cuts away to deep backward point.
15.2 1	Mullins to Packer
Cut away beautifully off the back foot, but a great stop at backward point keeps it to one run.
15.1 4	Mullins to Packer
full delivery, cut to deep bwd point, Stewart diving to stop the ball, in the process touches the rope

Yea gotta love those Kabir Ali specials, hardly ever see them in the last 10 overs an innings tho.
