The team I'm playing my playoff against:

fyshys fellas
Top Order: mediocre
Middle Order: woeful
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: mediocre
Spin Bowling: feeble
Fielding: feeble

Should be pretty easy to lose to them. There are no bots in the league I'm going down into, but it looks like it should be pretty easy, and a good chance to save some money up, and maybe expand my ground. The team I'm going to play is going to be embarassing.

There's bound to be a match somewhere in which both teams are trying to lose - I'll laugh if someone here wins despite trying to lose. :p

Just found some proof to show that ratings dont mean anything.

Milton's XI Flannel County
Top Order: respectable remarkable
Middle Order: mediocre feeble
Lower Order: abysmal woeful
Seam Bowling: competent superb
Spin Bowling: respectable feeble
Fielding: mediocre feeble

And Miltons XI thrashed them.

You think that's bad, take a look at this:

Dark Laird of Etive LOreal-Zat!
Top Order: wonderful strong
Middle Order: competent competent
Lower Order: woeful woeful
Seam Bowling: exceptional superb
Spin Bowling: strong strong
Fielding: mediocre feeble

LOreal-Zat! won by 100 runs. I don't see how that proves that ratings mean nothing though, for every upset there are dozens of matches which go exactly as the ratings suggest. It's not as though teams in real life don't occasionally lose to much weaker teams anyway.

Hmm im playing this guy:

Bendigo Bullants
Top Order: competent
Middle Order: feeble
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: mediocre
Spin Bowling: respectable
Fielding: feeble

An easy division as well, plus i have a friend who i know i can easily beat who is coming 3rd. Probably be resting anyone who is competant and above. Though i dont think i have enough players.

Big difference between ratings.

Just saying how ratings can sometimes mean nothing

That 'sometimes' occurs once in a blue moon tho.

Annoyingly the team I'm likely to thrash somewhat chose to bat first... that always seems to happen when I could beat some records.

That's class.

Pretty easy win today by 9 wickets (Rampaul 6/18 and Chanderpaul 88* (68)), didn't do enough to get automatic promotion though. :(

I have Royal Bengal Tigers in playoff game with:
Code:
	Royal Bengal Tigers
Top Order: woeful
Middle Order: feeble
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: feeble
Spin Bowling: woeful
Fielding: woeful
Now have to decide if I'm going to TIE or Normal. What gets reset at the start of the season?

Ended up winning the game pretty easierly :D:

Stevey D's - All Out 220

Begg 64(99)
Aburna 52(46)
Achary 47(48)
Puskpakumara 4/38(7.3) (MOTM)
Kinsella 3/47(10)
Girubarharan 2/21(7)

Jaffna Jets - 0/221(36.3)

Girubarharan 106(118)
Ferrier 101(108)

Very happy with the performances of Ferrier and Kinsella , who both made their league debut for the club. Played their first game for us in a friendly last Sunday though. Girubarharan continue to impress with the bat with his 3rd hundred for the season, but the most impressive thing was his bowling, competely unexpected, was really just experimenting when i put him in the bowling orders.

The ratings were a bit disappointing:

Stevey D's Jaffna Jets
Top Order: mediocre feeble
Middle Order: abysmal feeble
Lower Order: worthless worthless
Seam Bowling: woeful mediocre
Spin Bowling: useless mediocre
Fielding: woeful woeful

MOTM: Pushpakumara

Eyes not spreadsheets
Nice debut for my new signing, stamina is showing here as Hohsinuddin has slowed down considerably:

308-1 (42 overs) - Lepolesa 150*(119), Hohsinuddin 128*(131)

Chased down the 152 target in 26.5 overs as expected - just losing the one wicket early on.

Nice boost ahead of the Plate semi-final on Sunday.

Jamees 999ers 306/5 (50) (Nix 114(132), Gowshall 100(102))
EF11 89 (28.2) (Bardle 9 2 13 2, Aldred 5 0 21 3, Sugden 4.2 1 6 3)

Jamees 999ers won by 217 runs

Really happy with that, Bardle bowled really well, so did Sugden, and Aldred only had 5 overs bowling. Also, centuries from opener Nix and number 3 Gowshall are good news, in the last competitive match before Season IV.

And 4th place prizemoney :D
