All over for me

Theasas 92 (26.4 overs)
Chillingworth 4/39 (8), Giles 2/4 (3.4), Dunne 2/13 (5)

Magical Ponies 0/96 (17 overs)
Birchall 49* (55), Sutton 41* (49)

Magical Ponies theasas
Top Order: competent woeful
Middle Order: feeble abysmal
Lower Order: abysmal worthless
Seam Bowling: mediocre woeful
Spin Bowling: mediocre useless
Fielding: woeful feeble

MOTM is Chillingworth

Very happy with that win, should really help with the team's fitness as it was on TIE.

Edit: Looking at the other teams in my league, it seems that Wonnacott, the spinner in the Australian squad must be a decent bat too. He's first drop for the team and opens the bowling.

Lost the toss and was put in

Made 310-3 which im reasonably happy with. They have two good batters from memory, with one player having wages of 5k though his a wicketkeeper to i think

i believe i made a good total with my new opener scoring 70

they are chasing and my bowlers arnt doing enough

End of Over 11: 73-0, runrate=6.64, reqrunrate=4.74 (257-5)
Fleming 6-0-35-0
Swift* 37 (32 balls)
Hazell 30 (36 balls)

Robertinho Select XI 238ao from 47.4 overs (RR 4.99)
Tebogo 23* (41)
Gray 62 (52)
Houlihan 45 (51)
Verma 41 (56)

Laconically lazy 1/101 from 20 overs (RR 5.05, RRR 4.60)
Edwards 49* (66)
Garricks 47* (53)

Apart from running out one of the openers first ball, we've been terirble. Not looking good, seeing as my Proficient bowler failed to take a wicket in his first set of 5. Still, I was 1/120 after 20, so it's not that bad.

Going to be tight, they need 80 from 10 with their gun batsmen out and only a competant or mediocre in

End of Over 34: 113-8, runrate=3.32
Moodley 7-2-9-0
Mohammed* 9 (13 balls)
Govender 55 (105 balls)

Should be an easy chase, shame Moodley can't buy a wicket today though.

Great. The Australian NT member took five wickets in his match. The team had a rating of sensational for spin! And another team in my league has a super top order!

And, it turns out, one of the teams has the captain of the Australian U19 squad...

Won by 147 runs. An opening partnership of 324 set up the match.
College Dropouts 2/365 50overs
Kennedy 169 (149)
Jayasuriya 158 (141)

DanDeChamp 10/218 41.4overs
Baker 87 (105)

Garricks 57 (73)
Payton 4/38 (9.0)
Hignett 0/41 (10.0)

Laconically lazy win by 4 wickets.

Nooo... I can't get promoted now. It's depressing, being 1 game into the season and knowing that you have no way of being promoted.

Ratings -

Laconically lazy Robertinho Select XI
Top Order: mediocre competent
Middle Order: feeble mediocre
Lower Order: woeful worthless
Seam Bowling: mediocre mediocre
Spin Bowling: useless respectable
Fielding: mediocre feeble

:( :( :( :(

I don't belive this. They scored 80 runs to win, with mediocre and feeble batsmen. Ratings should tell the story though

I don't really see the point in playing on GFI in a cup match. I figure there's no way I'm going to get to Round 3 or 4, so I'm setting myself up to lose my next match, increase my fitness and concentrate in the league.

On TIE, I got 267/9 off 50 but think I'm going to get flogged by this lot batting wise. :(

30/1 off 5 thus far.

yeah thats an idea, I could Tie in my cup match- effectively losing and then TIE in my league match getting my fitness up nicely. But my members and supports and morale would go down if i lose the cup match.

Does Fitness go down if you play on normal? Or will it stay up as long as you dont' GFI

They need 8 an over for the next 12 overs and 3 wickets in hand. I can see them making this. 8-)
