Australian intra-squad warm up game 23-26 August, The rose Bowl, Southampton

Ridiculously titled the "Haddin XI v Hick XI", presumably one side will try to bomb someone over long off with the score at 5/18 while the other will never reach its potential, but look a million bucks doing so.

Haddin XI to win graciously, with the utmost humility

Haddin definitely the more likely to succeed as Hick has to face a four-pronged pace attack of Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood and Siddle (should bring back some West Indies memories)

Hick XII: Joe Burns, Cameron Bancroft, Steve Smith, Peter Handscomb, Matthew Wade, Mitchell Marsh, Tim Paine (c, wk), Michael Neser, James Pattinson, Jackson Bird, Chris Tremain, Nathan Lyon

Haddin XII: David Warner, Marcus Harris, Kurtis Patterson, Travis Head (c), Marnus Labuschagne, Will Pucovski, Alex Carey (wk), Pat Cummins, Mitch Starc, Peter Siddle, Josh Hazlewood, Jon Holland.

I notice they've given Nathan Lyon a team full of left-handers to bowl to.

Who do you think is the most likely to be omitted with a failure in this game?

Has to be Wade. Performs everywhere in every format over the last 12 months but will be omitted without a 2nd thought if he fails here, meanwhile Labuschagne and Marsh will get selected with a 30 and 1 wkt here

Oh, Burns as well, will be goneski if Harris outscores him (even by 5 runs).

Okay, Paine won the toss and decided to bowl, so it starts with Pattinson to Warner and Harris. Hoping for some Pattinson magic

Edit: scratch that, they opened with Neser

And Neser get Warner for 4. Labuschagne coming in at 3 instead of Petterson is interesting (probably to break up the left handers)
