I think Roland-Jones will be the third seamer for England rather than Woakes.
The six bowlers going to New Zealand - Anderson, Broad, Roland-Jones, Stokes, Woakes and Wood?

Overall Woakes bowled ok in the second test. If he bowls like he did in the first he might be in trouble.

Scorecard from Lions beating Scorchers earlier in the new 55k stadium. First game played there.

His away record 9 Tests 53.07. He is safe for the rest of the Ashes. When Stokes is back they won't need Woakes' batting as much.

With the exception of Root, Broad and Anderson there isn't really anyone so secure they won't be looking over their shoulders if they have 3 bad tests. Bairstow hasn't had a stellar year, Ali looks out of form and the rest of the squad have no form to be out of. Woakes has a place to lose but to a large degree his destiny is in his own hands.

Being in the ODI team helps Woakes. He has had a very good year. That keeps him in the Test squad.
If Bairstow and Ali have a bad series I don't think they have to worry about their places. Cook, Root, Bairstow, Ali Stokes Broad Anderson.

Don't know if it was a piss-take but Duckett puts a post up on instagram saying returning home but been a great tour having these 2 (Clarke & Lawrence) under 'his' wing.

In the picture the other 2 have a beer and Duckett has a water.
