*Official* 5th ODI at The Rose Bowl

Gawd Johnson is such an aggressive sort, for a cry-baby over-moisturised, hair-gelled ponce.

Fourth, wouldn't he be? They listed McGrath, McDermott & Lee.

Although surprised Warne doesn't have 200 ODI scalps too.

Anyway, not convinced Carbs is worth persisting with. Already 32 and clearly struggling to adjust to someone of Johnson's pace.

Yeah I am a fan of Carbs but he isn't cutting it at 32. Terrible innings from Root over. Our chances in this game reliant on a Morgan century and another Buttler blitz. Ah yeah 4th, forgot they affirmed McDermott.

Oh gawd why do cricinfo put up the tweets of idiots on their page, just read Ian Botham's cretinous views on Global Warming #noneed.

Ummm, Lukey, you know your not Ashley Young, no-ones saying YOU can't dive:unsure:

Pathetic from England. Wright obviously doesn't want to be picked again, ridiculous not to dive.
Didn't want to get injured for the all-important Champion league thingamygig.*

*No idea if he's playing in it, just having a cheap dig at him and the Tournament

Out, get on with it, Ravi in failing under pressure shocker...

EDIT: Jammy bastard... just a few more balls to chew up for no run...

Warne wasn't a fast bowler.

As I haven't watched, how has Rankin managed to go at under 3 in this mess?

Are we all really impressed by his debut series?
Yeah, he's been good again. Reckon we can add him to the core of four that have served us well in ODI's the last couple of years.

Tests is a different beast though, obvs.

Woeful batting display, Ravi padding his stats with a cheap 50. Australia been the better team and deserve the series win.

Nah, gotta be realistic, people can talk up the figures, but Jordan and Stokes still got smashed at points, and our spinners were awful.

In bowling conditions, this was much-too-much. Not bothered that much though. It's barely even a second-string attack.

Rankin and Buttler the big plusses in this series. So that's definitely one more bowler in the mix. Stokes and Jordan have done enough to show there's promise there. Still don't think they're anything like close to being regulars. Yet better than Dernbach, Woakes and Meaker.

Jordan bowled well. Smashed at points is a massively overstatement for Jordan, he bowled a few wayward deliveries but overall wasn't bad at all. These weren't bowling conditions at all, not there innings anyway. Flat pitch, no swing/seam.

Stokes bowled largely pies and if he ever tries that ridiculous ramp shot again he should be shot.

ODI side is still the same when everyone is fit, although Tredwell could have bowled himself out of the team.

It was when Bop, Stokes and Jordan was bowling, totally different when Rankin was bowling, which was the point really.

Think it had enough juice in it that it rewarded disciplined bowling.

Anyway, what a hideous, and literal damp squib that ODI series was, thankfully I'd have forgot about it in a fortnight.

Still deserved win from Oz, well done, they had much more positives out of it than us, I'd have thought.
