Is it just me or is slip a woefully under-utilised position in limited overs cricket in general?

I see Finn's spell back at Middlesex hasn't solved his pie issue.

I was wondering if he's bowled at all since we saw him at Trent Bridge.
Saw him against Leicestershire on Monday. He was OK, but probably flattered by quite how dire the rest of the pace bowling was. Basically he dropped short less than the others which meant he only got deposited into the mound stand on a couple of occasions (was a 50 yard boundary though, if that).

I'm not convinced that Michael Carberry could have bowled any worse than what we've seen so far, never mind what he might add to the batting.

And Warner must be absolutely kicking himself at missing out against this garbage.
