That would be fun. Looking forward to all participants being blacklisted by you-know-who as happened with the ICL.

No Carberry. I really don't see the point. Nor do I see the point in Root in T20s.

Yeah I don't really quite see the logic in telling your best young batsman that he has to juggle being a Test opener with being a T20 number five. Would've made more sense to have Carberry at 3 and then bat Wright down the order IMO.

They spent a good few minutes talking up Finch and didn't even mention his bowling. What gives?

Extra bowling I reckon, in case it looks a bunsen. They rate his bowling ridiculously highly IMHO. Carbs has been bowling well recently though.

I think that's probably the worst side they could feasibly have picked from the squad. But it's not about picking the best players anyway so \_/. Just hoping to see a good game

It's not as if he's some t20 prodigy either, he has a very average domestic record. I understand they did the same in ODIs, and to a certain extent Tests, but the whole 'seeing something in him' can only go so far when it's at the detriment of what they really care about. I'm one of the biggest advocates of not wasting the time of promising Test players on t20 when they clearly aren't that good at it. I was saying the same about James Taylor a while ago. Kind of wish they could just give it up altogether tbh.

Whoever's running the cricinfo feed for this seems absolutely obsessed with the fact that this is Carberry's home ground. Even managed to answer a question about Tredwell with that fact.

I'm sure whenever a Cricinfo commentator actually knows something they feel compelled to shoehorn it into proceedings.

    Lol.

Great cricket. Warner chucks his bat away and Broad's all but no-balled to boot.

I think I've just about got to a point where I can accept T20 as being cricket. Contrived, largely rubbish cricket, but cricket all the same. However it's imperative for Aaron Finch to not be international standard for this to work. Please get him out soon.
