I have been the hardest critic of the clown but a well deserved century for Smith, feel genuinly happy for him.

Only if other young batters showed as much application as him.

Gotta say, despite the series score, there have actually been a few positives to come out of this series. If, and it's still a very big if, Watson can start making big scores more frequently, and Smith can continue improving, our batting isn't looking as bad as originally forecast. There's still a long way to go obv, but at least there is some light at the end of the tunnel now.

It doesn't really to be fair. 3-0 is fair because one test was ruined by the weather and the other two aside from Lords were close matches which England won by playing slightly better. 3-1 would be fair if there was no weather.

I haven't explained what I mean at all well. Basically there should never be any reason to assume 3-0 is a hammering, because each test is a separate event.
