    players cheating hot spot....

So there's an article up on news.com.au claiming that the drs investigation today may have uncovered players cheating by using silicon tape on their bat edges to fool hotspot. Mentions kp's dismissal but noone else. I had been thinking more edges weren't showing up than usual for both teams. .....

yeah well until they actually name names, it's all speculation. Especially if they are just basing it off the kp dismissal, which frankly was an extremely faint edge and could have easily just been down to the unreliability of hotspot.

If it does come out that players have been doing that though it's just ridiculous. How can you even celebrate a win properly if you know you've deliberately cheated to attain it.

They've talked in commentary about players being able to do this in the past too but this series has had more hotspot issues then usual

05? maybe some people have no conscience...

KP had a very small inside edge show up on hotspot in the first innings though, and the makers of hotspot reckon it can't pick up very faint edges, I'm not buying all this just yet.

I assume this is about Australians given that the Australian news source refuses to name names

KP is already denying it on Twitter, so it's probably true tbf.

Where's the proof any of the measures players are taking (if they are) is actually doing anything?

KP just brought up a good point. Hiding an edge could also play against you with regards to LBW's.

Although maybe they just put it on the outside edge.

Unless putting silicon tape on the bat is against the rules of the sport then it's not cheating.
