*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Ruckus

International Captain
Great knock from Bell. Very likely a match winning one.
Na, will prove to just be another worthless innings when Watson smashes a run-a-ball 200, wins the match and begins his career as the greatest opener the world has ever seen.

This is a serious question

Do you think Root will be the opener for the first test in Oz?

My prediction is that he will be the 2013 version of Hughes '09
No I don't. Whether its Compton or someone else I don't know. He should have been at 6 for another year IMO. Which is where I think he will be back at in Oz.

We finally had a competent number 6 for the first time since Collingwood retired but they went with the "brave" call. When Bairstow really isn't good enough at the mo.

Yay, Straussy finally telling the idiots in the box, about pitches not deteriorating the way they used too.

Seems patently obvious to me, but they keep on banging on about record chases.

Starc just isn't likely to get many lbws bowling like that, i'm not sure what all these appeals and confused looks are all about.

Much more likely for that to happen.

Yeah I mentioned earlier how the commies always seem to think that pitches will break up more than they ever do. Nagpur at the end of last year probably the best example.
