It's not so much the left handers but how long they'll likely be batting. If there are a few of them but they only last 10 balls each, it doesn't really matter too much. Clarke and Twatto (going on his last visit here) will likely hang around a lot longer and be the ones that need to be dislodged.

Despite Panesar's average Australia didn't play him that well in what were pretty flat conditions.

Amazing that all these Poms are criticising Australia when their own side is currently being destroyed by a minnow nation on the first day with their new opener Compton averaging ZERO for the series and England on target to be bowled out for exactly 50 based on current numbers!!!!

Compton and Pietersen are now both averaging ZERO for the series, while Cook's average of just ten is 1/5 of his career average.

Based on the current scoreline, England is set to make just 63 which most knowledgeable cricket followers would consider a very poor total.

Something Australia was on the receiving end of at Hobart and in their current series.

Where's the benefit in bringing all that up?? Let's focus only on current events :D

In all fairness, Eng are now on target for 117, which is still not good enough but better than previous mathematical predictions.

Hey dude. Please don't go ruining this thread by referring to historical encounters in which Australia was defeated by India.

Let's focus only on the here and now. England are three down for not many whereas Aus haven't even lost a wicket today

In other news, Flintoff predicts a 10-0 drubbing for Aussies in the back to back Ashes. Has a bet with Piers Morgan

First time I venture in to CC in ages, and the first thing I see is Mr Ronan. The decline into direness seems to have sped up.

There were plenty of Mr Ronans years ago.

Speaking of Ronan, lack of posts in India series thread is disappointing. Was hoping for more complaints about biased umpiring and no LBW decisions going Australia's way.
