*Official* Fifth Test at the SCG

Cricketer Of The Year
No-one's yet managed to bat out the first day of any of the first four Tests. Let's hope the Aussies don't do better this time.

Fair bit of confidence by the Pommie fans on here today.

Clarke gets his captaincy off to a good start by winning the toss. I am looking forward to seeing this Khawaja play.

England just have to bowl at a good or full length just outside off-stump to Khawaja and his front foot deficiency will do the rest.

What front foot deficiency? Does he not get forward to full balls at off/just outside off?

Woodster

International Captain
Would expect the ball to do a reasonable amount through the air in this opening session, and hopefully off the pitch. Would give the Aussies a big boost if they get to lunch relatively unscathed, hopefully we can pick up three wickets, or more would be a bonus.

I see. Doesn't seem to have hurt either of them too much, though.
Yeah but I guess the thing is Khawaja doesn't have the experience of those two and is nervous. I would love them to bowl short at him early, he'll go after it.

State Vice-Captain
The most astonishing thing i've learned on Clarke's cricinfo page is that there's a Liverpool in NSW.
