That Stansted departure is a definite.

However, there's also an 8.15 this morning from Heathrow which has turned out under-subscribed, and by virtue of the fact that I drove to the airport last night - twice - including during a 1am blizzard - and that we slept on top of the check in desk, we have managed to get ourselves high enough on the reserve list to scrounge six leftover seats on this departure... now pushed back to 10.00.

We're through security. We're checked in. It's on.

Hopefully, seeing as he hasn't posted in a while, Neil is on the way.

All that inconvenience and strife, sleeping at the airport... Walking and driving through snow, risking life and limb...

Just shows you the lengths Englishmen will go to in order to get to the land of milk and honey....

Spent the last 24 hours in Kuala Lumpur, with Malaysian Airlines kindly agreeing to put us up in the local Marriott for the night. I spent 14 of the 24 hours - from 3pm to 5am Malay time, sleeping. Now back at KLIA with one hour until departure for Melbourne. ETA 2035 local time...approximately 112 hours after having left Oxford for the first time.

Is that local as in next to the airport or local as in in Kuala Lumpur so the equivalent of BA putting you up in Oxford?

Bloody hell, reading that makes me want us to win even more than I already did.

Good on you Neil.

Yeah, whenever I hear an Australian having troubles getting around overseas, I always think "Jeez, I really hope the lads lift and win that ODI in Chittagong next week".

****.
