Just watched the last couple of balls from Johnsons and thought "maybe he should just bowl a bouncer every ball".

Is there any sign of the track easing out a bit? Virtually every Australian batsman will have to make a big contribution for them to have any chance of saving this one.. India put up 450+ in a 2nd innings recently and still lost by an innings.

I was going to say that's the coin landing on its edge...but that might insinuate its a rare thing.

Yeah no chance of rain unfortunately, but hopefully England will bat on forever and take up some time.

Easing out a bit? It's already pretty damn good for batting. The MCG tends to get better as well. When Aus bat 2nd innings it should be about the closest to the best batting conditions, expecially seeing as though it's meant to be sunny.

For all the stick Johnson is getting, and rightly so, the desperate mediocrity of Hilfenhaus is going relatively unnoticed. In this series so far he's taken just two wickets at an average of 141.50 at an incredible strikerate of 333.

Fmd they should just be cramming Prior up. Give him no room. Hrs ******** to the body, but cuts brilliantly.

The match will probably pan out very similarly to the one in Centurion last week then. I can see Ponting and Clarke getting hundreds.

Isn't there alot of rain about in Sydney as well? Chances of a wash-out?

Sydney doesn't usually get prolonged periods of rain though, usually just showers. The SCG has often been quite green in recent times as well, so that coupled with overcast conditions it could make for some devastating bowling performances.

It's our turn next match to own England easily. So the way these things are going it will be a three day test.

Can't see Hilf playing in Sydney, personally. And if Siddle is suspended, I'd like to see Hairitz back in (fmd can't believe I'm saying that) and Dougeh back in.

    Dougeh!

    Dougeh.
