He did rule out any possiblity on C9 during the day 4 commentary FTR.

Lol, I can imagine what Warne would think about getting $4000 for playing a game of cricket when he probably earns that an over in the IPL.

Actually the stakes have been raised: "A group of Aussie businessmen have offered Warne, 41, one million Australian dollars to make himself available for the Third Test."

BBC Sport - Cricket - Ashes: Swann plays down Warne return talk

This is pretty much what they've been doing for the past two years. Trying every spinner in the country in the hope they can unearth another Warne. If the player isn't good on debut, they're out, for the next guy. The selectors should be sacked for this alone. They simply have no idea what's going on. In no other organisation would this type of failure be accepted.

Australia needs to find someone who is a big turner of the ball and say "you have a run of 10 Tests, be attacking, try to have fun with it".

There are plenty of decent batting all rounders who can bowl darts and try to hold down an end.

Maybe Warne was a once in a hundred years leggie. Like Murali was a once in a hundred years offie.

Perhaps most mere mortal spinners can only average 30-35 in today's age of batting dominance.

Swanneh averages 27 tbf. Could well struggle to sustain that but at least we know it's possible.

It took Warne 9 Tests to get his bowling average below 40, and it wasn't until his first Ashes Test that his average dropped below 30.

The freakish thing was his economy rate being between 2.2 and 2.6 for most of his career and a strike rate of 57-65 which is great for a leggie. So he was an accurate, big turner of the ball.

Looks like Warney's busy elsewhere with his middle stump.

Warne and Hurley having 'alleged' affair

Warne has once again proven that he is an absolute genius of the highest order. Liz Hurley FFS.

Surely surpasses even his super-human efforts in the 05 Ashes series.

You'd think now that he's in the commentary box he'd stop nailing the English.
