It could be three pages long and it would take you that long to read it, ****.

All these people who are saying that Beer won't be in the XI for Perth are saying this in hope or do you guys genuinely believe that he won't play...!?

    Hope.

Seriously even with enormous backlash over the next week, the stubbornness of the selection panel means that their decisions will stand even though their ******ation is sprayed all over the presses.

Reckon Hauritz and Punter have had a massive falling out to the extent that Ponting won't bowl him.

Was the same story with McGain and Krejza. We are poorer for it.

I hope Beer does well, but there is a pretty good reason he's never been on the radar.

Hughes is very lucky to get in one feels after a very poor domestic season. Hope he rises to the occasion, he's known as a big match performer.
Hughes was the only option AFAIC, unless Hilditch decided to come out of retirement and open for Australia....

He only started playing cricket at domestic level 2 months ago?

    Mussey must be reeling.

Yeah, but thats the point - he's 26 and has only been playing at the FC level for 2 months, he's never been on the radar because, well, he's not that good I guess is the kindest way of saying it. Jeez I hope I'm wrong though.

True, I'd absolutely love to be eating my words when this is all said and done, but that probably won't happen.

Also reeling, Dussey. That entire family must roll over and groan after these dudes get baggy greens for doing nothing in particular.

Sort of - if he'd been a specialist spinner he probably would have played by now. He's unfortunate that he played in a time where we had a decent middle order and there wasn't room, and now that bus has gone. Plus, he made too many of his runs in the County championship rather than the Shield - ie. at the wrong times.

Does anyone know if there is actually any way the public can ensure Hilditch is fired?

It seems like Ponting sure has had a problem with all the spinners he's had under him, including Warne.

Wouldn't really expect a team as professional as Australia to decide based on personal prejudices given the situation they're in ATM.

I do think Ponting may want to consider giving up the captaincy. There is no shame in that - Tendulkar was captain for a bit, couldn't do it, stepped down.

Maybe Watson? Smith for SA and Dhoni for India - very young when they became captains - truly paid off. Salman Butt also "paid off", but in a rather different way.
