Being sent in, at lunch the mark is pretty much 2.5 wickets. Under that, then as a batting team you can live with it. Over, then the decision to bowl has been justified.

Geez. This aint good. Just gifting wickets, they Poms are just playing to our ego's. Our guys just want to hit the ball, aint rocket science. Clarke is the next captain? Woeful stuff. I want to be confident but we are just playing so badly. But hey I did say our top order has next to no idea at the WACA for 6 years running now.

Ugh this is a tough watch. Australia are handling these conditions worse than some subcontinent bunny batsmen who suddenly find themselves on a wicket with bounce. Come on Australia FFS.

Looked like catching practice by the coach to the slips before play.

    Dreadful shot.

So, if we can break this partnership early we might be looking at a really low score

See the thing is despite three wickets you can't say England have bowled particularly well. On any other day you'd say they were bowling way too wide, but to this lot it's fine.

Is the .5 the unsuccessful Watto referral?

I dont usually like comparing people across eras, but you'd suspect none of these guys would survive in the 80s or early 90s.
It's alright to bat aggressively on this pitch if you're punishing the bad balls (like Tremlett's short ball that he pulled). When you're trying to hit everything, including balls a foot and a half outside off, then it's not aggressive, just stupid.

Ponting batted like a dumbass. Even ignoring everything else thats happened over the past 2 years, I'd be tempted to drop him for that knock. Just woeful irresponsible stuff.
