Bit too easy, wasn't it? Just bowl a couple of short ones to mess up his footwork and then bowl a length ball on middle stump.

Decent ball but a dreadful shot from an opener. Hopefully we can end his career over the next few weeks.

Terrible shot by Hughes. All over a straight one it seems.

Edit: yep. Just a straighty. Lol, comical out that.
Nope, straightened, but not a straight one. Was good bowling, not a great shot though.

Sums it up. "Good" ball, but you're going to cop a dozen of them in the first 10 overs.

Test opener entitled to keep out a straghit one And it may have deviated a fraction tbf, but full face of the bay sees it easily negotiated.

Watson has had to play three pills so far, and he was given out off one of em!!!

Agree with Tubby Taylor here. All pitches should be like this. Green it up.

Granted I wasn't able to watch his debut series in South Africa last year but Phillip Hughes really doesn't look like a test match opening batsmen, not at this stage of his career anyway.

England need to get Punter early here. The stage is set for him to compile a big century today. When the pressure's on, Ponting delivers.
