*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

Noble One

Looked out live tbf.

Wow, shocking decision from the umpire there. Nowhere near his glove or bat.
How is it a shocking decision when even you said it looked out live?

Jesus umpires have it tough. The umpire could never see that hit the shoulder, the bat would obscure his view.

That's the exact kind of decision the UDRS was brought in to correct. Would have been terrible if a partnership like this was ended in that fashion. UDRS does it's job again!

Umpire has a much better view than me sitting on the sofa watching through a TV camera that is at an angle to the play.

And as to your second sentence, if the umpire didn't see it hit the bat or glove then he shouldn't be giving it out. Can't guess on what may have happened when the ball was obscured by the bat.

But you can't call it 'shocking' when it looked out live to you...and the bat would clearly block his view.

In any case, that's why UDRS is here.

Siddle won't be running in all day banging it in half way. It's probably a solid enough tactic, but should really have been done when the ball, and the bowlers were fresher!

sigh...pretty boring match. I hate flat pitches with a passion, and please Lawry stop praising the ****ing curator. How is it a magnificient job? Anyone can prepare a road....

Why is Doherty in this team? Doesn't appear to be any more talented a bowler than Michael Clarke. Surely Steven Smith or even Nathan Hauritz would be better all-round options than him? He might be able to nip Pietersen out, but the Aussies need to work out how to actually get him in, before they pick a bloke just to get him out.

God these pitches are flat. World cricket needs an answer to combat these.
These pitches have been flat for years just you had a couple of geniuses in McGrath and Warne who could get wickets on anything. Imagine how good their averages would have been on sporting pitches.

Aussie pitches have mostly been flat for years, its just that we had killer bowling lineups in the past. But yes they ALL could use some spicing up, now that world cricket is going through a flat pitch epidemic.
