*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

Even after the last test and given current form?

I doubt any English person wouldn't want him there in Adelaide. He gave you guys 170 runs in Brisbane.
Yeah, given current form I think I'd like him to play. But from my feelings before the series, especially when I saw he'd scored 100 and taken 5 wickets, I will be glad to see him go. If he goes now, I don't see him coming back this series.

I'm not saying he should be dropped, I'm saying he shouldn't have been picked in the first place. Taking wickets against rubbish opposition is not a reason to rate a bowler if you ask me. I've watched every one of Finn's international games and he hasnt bowled anywhere near as well as the wickets column makes him look. Its easy to say he's taken 38 wickets etc but the fact of the matter is that I have yet to hear from anyone that rates him what he actually does with the ball that makes him good.
Well thats not true, he was superb against Bangladesh. His line and length was consistently perfect and he was up there with his pace. You can say "oooh it was Bangladesh" all you want but it doesn't make your statement any less false. When he can start to do that more consistently I think we'll see even more out of him, especially considering he's still taking wickets despite being poor, apparently.

[Insert Mitchell Johnson argument: here]

[Insert but he was still bowling well when he took his wickets argument: here]

****ing joke if Mitch is dropped but Hilfenhaus is still there.
Agreed with this. Johnson is the best bowler among the playing 22. One poor match for both Hilfenhaus and Johnson, and to me logic dictates that the former has to go first, based on both past accomplishments and on potential.

Rush Hauritz in. Get a bowler taking wickets into the team.
surely he has to play in sydney (At the very least), and melbourne

i wonder if the selectors will have the balls to do a backflip and select him- i hate all the talk about it being "the end of the road" for players who were dropped or are likely to be dropped, like hauritz and johnson
what ever happened to "go back to fc cricket and take some wickets, then we'll give you a chance"

but if doherty is the lone spinner in sydney, thatd be a joke

Would kill me to see Strauss holding up the Urn in Sydney.
why? england are most probably the better team. aus has no plans or leadership. england are far more skilled, have a better attitude and arebetter prepared. provided they keep playing with their current attitude, and aus keep playing with theirs, strauss side deserve it. aus cant just rest on past laurels and think that just because theyre in home conditions, getting beaten is an absolute shock. the only reason aus had such a good home record as of late was that they were bloody well prepared when the touring team landed. now, theyre not. they have no idea what theyre doing, are in denial and are poorly led, by both the captain and the 'coach'.

Hauritz didn't really bowl against a strong side for those wickets....i wouldn't be rushing to recall him yet.

Why?

Because it's war mate.

Get on a war footing, and man the fortress.

I understand mate
But our soldiers dont seem to have the slightest clue about what their doing.
I'd be bloody disappointed too if they lose, but i can't say it would be a surprise at all. Poor preparation doesnt make for a good time on the battlefield.

But that one poor match doesn't seems to be ending anytime soon...

exactly, and its the ashes. as said above, its a war. 1 poor match from 2 of our specialist bowlers could mean huge consequences. if they dont have the balls to understand that, and not take being left out after a pathetic performance, to heart, then they shouldn't be playing international cricket. This is the ashes, you do what the **** u can to win it.
