Goodness I missed pre lunch session. Just caught the HLs and what batting by KP after passing the ton! The 3 pulls with 3 fielders on the leg side fence was simply vintage kp.

The big difference being that Xavier Sami won't get another 13 chances of an international comeback.

Either that or he'll play another ten Tests before being dumped with an average of 100. Selectors seem to vacillate between intransigence and indecisiveness at the moment.

FFS Australia.

I'm praying for rain. England can bat for 2 whole days, so surely we should be able to as well and save the test. But we all know that it won't happen

Let's declare... No cheap wickets for them... so no momentum shifts that are so common in this situation, plus the looming inclement weather.

Anderson to get Katich early... Swann to get the 9for100 tomorrow, job done.
Swann to get 2 - 153

Commentators to remind us 154 times that he is the top ranked spinner in the world

I really doesn't take much for a spinner to play for Australia these days.

Just enough rain to juice up the pitch when Anderson & Co comes for a second haul.

Bingo

Mind you, it could go the other way and only serve to keep the pitch together for longer

Either way, Oz are stuffed in all likelihood

Now that vic has pointed it out I can't help but cringe every time I see Clarke's dismissal. Get that front leg bent son!

They could declare right now. They are not going to make up the deficit and set any sort of imposing total and then bowl England out from here.

Maybe add 50 more runs and declare - just in case rain takes out significant portions of the next two days, they might need all the time.

Finally got my laptop fixed so I can get back to posting.

This is real dire viewing and bowling for an Australian fan. England's batting has just been too strong on this flat pitch which Australia's batting failed completely on. KP's ton was pretty good to watch though, even as an Aussie.

I hate it when it rains in cricket full stop. I'd rather lose the match or for play to keep going then for ****ing rain to save us.

Really doubt this rain will save us. They are only passing showers, and any time lost will just mean an earlier start tommorow and/or the next day.
