I hear this Docerty bloke that the OP mentions can spin the ball further than Warne. Drop Doherty for Docerty i say.

How about we just wait until the Ashes are over before digging the boot in?

    Agreed.

This isn't a great Aussie side but England haven't won the series yet. When we do i will be happy to put the boot in, no doubt some changes need making though as the attack looks toothless and the batting is failing too often. Not a recipe for success.

So Ryan Harris apparently bought a new cricket bat for the second test. It's on e-bay now, flagged as "never used"

He used it in the first innings.

Think the joke should be "Billy Doctrove received a double eye transplant for the second test. They're now being sold on ebay, flagged as 'never used.' "

Not as funny as selecting Michael Beer to be fair
Every 5 years we have an election and have to decide who are the least obnoxious out of all the men. Then one gets in and they age really quickly. Which is always fun to watch.

Yaah it's ridiculous, but if I were an English supporter the last thing I'd be doing is rubbishing him before he plays. Could really come back to bite you.

Heheh, the fans have a new song.

    Slip inside Ricky Ponting’s mind
    He’s trying to find
    Some new players to play

He wants to play his older team
    But that’s just a dream
    They’re too old to play

He said he’d start a revolution in his head
But he’s been through all the players A to Z
Now there’s just a summertime of doom
If he loses the Ashes race
He is going to lose his place
Losing three would simply tear his heart out

    So Ricky can wait
    Shane Warne is too late
    And there’s no Glenn McGrath
    Gilchrist’s had his day
And don’t look back to Langer
    He cannot play
