DeusEx, are you suggesting that an in-form batsman is less likely to score runs than a batsman struggling for runs ?

Haddin was no surprise for me. He has been one of the best batsmen in Australia for a few years now.

Probably, but the reverse is just as much crap. Class is Permanent, Form is... an Illusion?

PMCC for Bradman is -0.0865, when correlating previous innings score against next innings score. Basically that's no correlation whatsoever.

You can't say that his ton was expected! in that situation and the way Anderson was bowling early on it was tough and his innings was a pleasant surprise indeed. The focus was on Hussey.

Its nice to talk big after the fact but at that moment no one was expecting such a brilliant innings from him....

These 2, just need to leave the good balls, if there wide and put away the bad ones, when they come,it's going to be a test of their patience and knowing where their off stump is.

Will be interesting to see if Ponting rotates his bowlers round more than Strauss did yesterday. I just saw Watto warming up, and Johnson was a few minutes ago too.

Swapping the strike in a decidedly un-English manner. Impressive.

Been some pretty ordinary bowling so far from Siddle. If he's bowling to a plan, then the plan must be to bowl all over the wicket. Should be making these guys drive 6 out of 6 balls an over.
