Feels like we've wasted an opportunity here...batsmen already seem settled.

Hasnt bowled badly - with a bit of luck might've had a wicket as there have been a few outside and leading edges

Well down on pace though and looks far from intimidating

Peter Siddle.

Is he bowling as rubbish as the Cricinfo commentary leads me to beleive? Around the wicket in the 12th over with no short leg???

No pace?

So he has nothing you wouldn't find in a club game?

He is bowling how he always does imo. Lots of effort, minimal movement with the ball = not particularly effective.

According to the Sky guys, they're disturbing the grass cuttings that have been rolled into the pitch but aren't disturbing the surface as such.

For me its about the ball - if its rather blatantly marginal then obviously don't bother - but it looked possible AND the added bonus of putting them 10-2. I think everything was calling for a review, thats all.

Quietened down, after a bad start these two have done okay.

Would settle for still being one down come lunchm regardless of how many we score, obv.

Anything can be a tactical tool. The act of appealing is often a tactical tool, deliberately shooting a wide down the leg-side is a tactical tool, etc. As you said, better than not having it, especially since, with the 2 unsuccessful appeals, that captains sometimes use it tactically often ends with them all egg-face.

Disagree it makes a mockery, anyway. Happens so seldom it's a non-issue.

I like how much they seem to be pitching it up this morning. There was an article in the 'tiser about how Bradman said to Chappelli that he didn't like the balls pitched up around his bat, as over 30% of his dismissals were bowled apparently.
