Nothing on hotspot, so it was never going to be given. Looked like there was something a bit on it with the super slow-motion, and definitely the noise.
The rotation of the ball didn't change on the super slo-mo either. If he did hit it, it was a very, very, fine nick.

Should be reluctant to use a review when bowler and keeper don't appeal. Maybe the Trott edge from earlier is playing on the Aussie minds but that was daft.

Hope it doesn't bite them in ass later in the innings when they can't review a shocker (actually I'm lying hope it does).

Having said that, it gives open-and-shut evidence if it does show up. People just have to realise that with that no spot =/= no nick. From a UDRS point of view though you'd be hard pressed to give it without a spot.

Indeed, it would probably be game over England if he took that. One dropped catch ain't bad though, and it wasn't the easiest one either.
