Next time Australia tour India, maybe I'll start a thread at the start of the series saying Well done India on retaining the Border Gavaskar trophy as well.

If you did so with the series all but over in the final Test then I'd have no problems with it. Right now you're just being typically dour and argumentative.

Australia had 0% chance before they set foot in India last time, and Id venture to think that it will be the same again next time as long as Johnson and co are still around and they dont have a half decent specialist spinner.

Nonetheless,I am done with this, I'd much rather be arguing with someone about cricket than someone's thread starting quality.

As I said, typically dour and argumentative.

That said, I do agree we have 0 chance against India in India and would struggle against India at home as well, right now.

There's no way Siddle was the worst Oz bowler in this series. Johnson was horrific - even when he was bowling "well" he was ****. Only when compared relatively to how he had been bowling could it been considered "good".

Siddle has looked more likely all series.

Thanks Pasag Must admit when you made the thread I was still petrified. Yet I guess that's just my pessimistic madness.

All the arguing is spoiling our celebration thread!

Yes, because that's exactly the same.

I don't think it'd have taken too much detective work to work out the game was still going when this thread started. Australia were never going to get 500-odd from that position.

I forfeited my right to argue with you about cricket 10 mins ago

Oh and congratulations England! I said this in the other thread, but will do so again here. They did a great job in this test, and thoroughly deserve to win the series. They were better than us in 3 out of 5 tests.

The ghost of this fellow probably has a wry grin tonight.

Thanks to saggers, jondavluc & cokes for their congratulations, anyway.

What a sport, eh? Lose by an innings and 80 runs ten days ago, piss it today. **** me.
