Just realised who Trott reminds me of; a combo of Graeme Thorpe and Steve Waugh. Especially Waugh.
Hopefully he can have a combination of their overall abilities as well then. Or just the abilities of one of them would do nicely.

Tactful deployment of "modest" as euphemism for "shyte" by Athers when describing Cook's series.

Personally I think our top order will look a lot better when we complete the phasing out of native poms, tbh.

Still have Moore, Malan & Kieswetter to come in.

Hmm, not too many devils in the pitch this morning, obvious mixed feelings about that:unsure:

The draw looks to be coming in a bit with the bookies.

Suffice to say any real chance we had of saving this is pretty much over, England really needed to be about 5-6 down at this stage for us to still be in it IMO.

264 ahead, and Australia will now have to make the biggest successful run-chase at this ground.
"If we add 20 runs to the score and 7 wickets Australia are still in this".

Honestly think if the lead gets to about 400 it'll be game over. Anything less and Aus still have a chance, Ponting would have to do a Manchester 2005 type innings.

Well done Andrew:)

If we make more then the crims last innings, maybe some people will start crediting Englands bowlers and stop just blaming the pitch for Broad and Swann's inspired bowling.

Nah probably not...

Not pretty but they are both doing a wonderful job. Shouldn't be long until Punter gives up the ghost.

Speaking of Andrew's is there anyone else out there who thinks this was the sort of pitch tailor made for Andrew McDonald?
