Wow. Who's saying it at the moment?

Lot of responsibility on Collingwood now.

Bugger.

Inevitable it'd come to this, but was hoping it could be managed until the end of the series.

The BBC. Heard it whilst listening to the Essex Leicestershire county game.

It's not fair when injuries affect Test Series, IMO. Invalidates the whole contest.

Back to reality, ****. Bell. ****.

Bloody IPL. Quite pleased he isn't going to carry on in the state he was in in the last match, don't think it was very helpful tbh.

Oh well, big opportunity for Bell.

It's not so much missing KP (as he wasn't 100% anyway) as getting stuck with Ian "****ing useless when it counts for anything against anyone" Bell.

Such BS. Weird thing is... we can still win without him whereas Aus would struggle hugely without Ponting (captaincy notwithstanding)

Australia's batting is 2x England's so Im not sure I understand that. Pietersen will be missed though.

Needed to happen at some point, will probably do him good in the long run. Huge pressure on the rest of the batting lineup. Am going to back Ian Bell to do well at 5 or 6, is his last chance and I think he will do a decent job but as a unit Bopara, Collingwood and Bell is pretty worrying. especially Bopara, even greater pressure on him now
