Come on Aussies, how many of you read the question in the thread title and thought 'Bangladesh'?

If i restrict myself to those in the squad the changed i would make would be

Out:
Ponting, Clarke, Hilfenhaus, Katich

In:
McDonald, Manou(as a batsman, Haddin to keep the gloves), Watson(if unable to bowl), Lee(if not fit)

Don't expect to see too many panic changes, tbh. Johnson has a lot of credit in the bank (although he looks shot just now, so complete has his bowling's disintegration been) and there are no other specialist batsmen in the squad much less openers if Hughes's form is causing concern.

Siddle the most likely casuality, for mine. Lee will come in if fit, Clark if not.

Came on here to post just that actually :).

Lee is not fit for the 3rd test. Was on radio here this morning and admitted as much. Only leaves Clark as back up. They should fly one of the A team quicks over asap imo.

Who's in Australia A? Bollinger? Nannes? McKay?

I want Bollinger to play, TBH.

Drop the only pace bowler in the Aus side who's done the job in both Tests. Awesome idea.

Look, it has to be said that once Lee and Watson both got hurt, they were mad not to bring at least one fast bowler over to join the squad.

Moreover, given Watson is the batting cover, why they didn't bring a batsman over as well is beyond me. What would they have done if a batsman did a McGrath and rolled an ankle on the morning of one of the tests?

Just seems strange. It's not like they're short of cabbage.

While we are at it, why not borrow the likes of Border, Waugh, Martyn, MacGill from the commentary team for the next game ,and see how things go..

I'm not sure about that mate, there certainly have been times when Siddle has bowled brilliant spells where he has been unlucky to not pick more wickets, but he has also bowled some spells where he has been really erratic.

So in case Australia don't consider dropping a batsman in favor of a bowler, then Siddle could be the bloke who might find his place under threat.

Yeah i think (assuming Lee is not fit) that Clark should come in for Siddle. Hilfy is more likely to be picked along side Clark because he is less similar than Siddle.

On backup, it has to be Bollinger.
