Series Result: Aus 3-1
Top Eng Runscorer: Pietersen
Top Aus Runscorer: Clarke
Top Eng Wicket-taker: Anderson
Top Aus Wicket-taker: Johnson
Player of the Series: Clarke
Surprise Packet: Hughes
Dropped Player(s): Cook, Bopara, Prior, Broad, Swann, Sidebottom, Onions, Panesar.

Series Result: Australia 2 - 0
Top Eng Runscorer: Strauss
Top Aus Runscorer: Hussey
Top Eng Wicket-taker: Sidebottom
Top Aus Wicket-taker: Johnson
Player of the Series: Hussey
Surprise Package: Hussey
Dropped Player(s): Lee
Miscellaneous Event: Australia win a tense Third Test by one wicket thanks to an unbeaten Mike Hussey century in which he is dropped eleven times. The Fourth Test is abandoned after Richard digs up the pitch and burns his First Chance Average manifesto into the grass. He is subsequently thrown off the Lord's balcony but survives after being caught by Geoffrey Boycott's grandmother.

Personally, going something like:

Series Result: Australia 2-0
Top Eng Run scorer: Pietersen
Top Aus Runscorer: Hughes
Top Eng Wicket-taker: Swann
Top Aus Wicket-taker: Siddle
Player of the Series: Johnson
Surprise Packet: Broad and Swann
Dropped Player(s): Sidebottom and Monty (if they play) for England, Lee for Australia
Miscellaneous Event: Michael Hussey to find form again, Monty won't play more than one Test, and Lee will play his last Test for Australia
Nice thread, I didn't see this first time around.

For me:

Result: 2-1 England (wouldn't be a pom otherwise. Lol)
Eng Runs: Pietersen
Aus Runs: Hussey
Eng WK: Anderson
Aus WK: Johnson
P.O.S: Pietersen and the series to be called "Pietersen's Ashes" (originality at it's peak).
Surprise Packet: Bopara
Drops: Lee, Hilfenhaus, Prior (literally! Ha ha)
Misc Event: Hughes to be hit on the head from Broad, Ponting to take a stunning catch to get rid of KP on 99.

If we win the series I doubt any batsmen would have been dropped on the way, certainly not Clarke who has been great over the past couple of years (and who is undroppable).
