Dropped Player(s): Hauritz
Miscellaneous Event: England will pass 500 twice.

Changing this to Clarke, looks far and away the best player on tour so far.
Clarke calls looking good. The rest pretty ordinary.

Dropped Player(s): Lee/Siddle
Miscellaneous Event: The Ashes Test thieving Welsh will stage a dire low quality match
Thought Clark would play, so that's obviously stuffed that one. I'd go with Hilfenhaus if I'd known who'd play, never fancy touring raw pacemen to do particularly well - it's more the FM types that prosper. Broad has been generally ****e, but just couldn't see the other bowlers doing particularly well other than Flintoff who'd probably get injured - and players of the series are more likely to be bowlers anyway. Reasonably happy otherwise.

Dropped Player(s): Cook, Bopara, Prior, Broad, Swann, Sidebottom, Onions, Panesar.
Miscellaneous Event: Anderson takes England's only 5 for in the dead rubber test they win at The Oval, and as he celebrates a packet of mints falls out of his pocket, thereby both explaining this freak event and causing him to be banned for 12 months.
Possible but not likely given weather and form atm.
Highly unlikely given injury and form
Looking good
Looking ok
Looking ok, despite form he's not far away on the tally
Quite possible if we win it
Surprised me how he's going, anyway
Panesar dropped already, Bopara possible
Unfortunately Flintoff has already taken England's only 5-fer for the series.

Top Eng Runscorer: Bopara - Won't happen
Top Aus Runscorer: Clarke - Looking good
Top Eng Wicket-taker: Anderson - Possible
Top Aus Wicket-taker: Johnson - Will take all 20 at Edgbaston
Player of the Series: Clarke - Could happen
Surprise Packet: Haurtiz - Will average under 35 - Indeed
Dropped Player(s): Hauritz, Clark, Panesar, Cook - Heh, Hauritz/Cook won't be dropped now, Clark needs to play to be dropped...

Series Result: Australia 3-1 - possible but unlikely
Top Eng Runscorer: Pieterson (if fit, if not Cook) - possible, but needs big runs, especially if he's ruled out of the next test
Top Aus Runscorer: Hughes - really struggling, thought he'd be the type that would never stop scoring runs.
Top Eng Wicket-taker: Anderson - still looking solid ATS.
Top Aus Wicket-taker: Johnson - unlikely, he's bowling garbage ATS.
Player of the Series: Hughes - lol
Surprise Packet: Lee getting back into form - hasn't had the chance to.
Dropped Player(s): Bopara, Prior, Panesar, etc. - Panesar has, Prior won't, Bopara still might.
Miscellaneous Event: England getting raped in the first 3 games before Australia slow down. Australia showing that their T20 form was just a blip on the radar. England to get cocky in the media after "below average warm-up". More to come when I CBF thinking about it. - wrong on all of them.

Surprise Packet: Macdonald (to take plenty of wickets + a couple of good scores)
Dropped Player(s): Swann, Prior, Pannesar, Collingwood, Onions, Lee
Miscellaneous Event: England selectors to panic, chop and change the team and look to pick players from Australian State second XIs

Series Result: Aus 3-1 - NO
Top Eng Runscorer: Cook - Maybe
Top Aus Runscorer: Ponting - Maybe
Top Eng Wicket-taker: Anderson - this ok
Top Aus Wicket-taker: Johnson - Unlikely
Player of the Series: Johnson - definate NO

Not looking good so far, especially as he might miss games, but you never rule him out.

Not yet OOTQ.

Still quite possible.

Still possible, despite it all.

Dunno if he's really surprised anyone yet, but he's gone damn well.

Dropped Player(s): if MSP, Lee and Onions play any Tests as first-choice (which is possible to near-certain) then I can quite see 'em being dropped. Also find it conceivable though not out-and-out likely that Prior and Cook might go.
MSP has indeed been picked as a first-choice and discarded, Lee hasn't yet, Onions hasn't yet been dropped but hasn't looked extraordinarily unlikely to either.

Miscellaneous Event (AKA random wildcard): two cases of on-a-hat-trick with a hat-trick resulting in neither.
None yet.

Well, we've now had two in the same session... good job I didn't say "no more than two". 'Cos surely there'll be another at some point in the series.

Yeah my first thought was this last night, sadly it went to the wrong team.

Top Eng wicket taker: Anderson, just from Swann on course
Surprise Packet: Siddle no. Hilfenhaus would have to be.
Miscellaneous Event: Johnson to sideline KP with broken arm/ribs maybe in the ODIs
Dropped Player: Matt Prior yeah, probably not
not doing too bad. Hoping Johnson takes 15 wickets at Leads (8-36 and 7-45 would be great)
