England did indeed change the schedule deliberately - because the schedule changes every few ****ing years. Always has done.

Absolutely nothing tactical in the shift whatsoever and the notion that it's been done because of Australia's record at Lord's shows complete ignorance on the matter of England summer scheduling. A change genuinely based on Australia's record at Lord's might be discontinuing Lord's as an Ashes venue. But nothing else.

Absolute waste of breath. Shame whoever he was talking to couldn't have put him right, see how he'd react to that.

Also, of course they changed it on purpose. They hardly changed it accidentally .

Saw that live and cracked up laughing.

I believe it was McGrath's final Michelle too which was nice to have witnessed in person.

I think Jimmy Anderson referring to himself in the third person shows a greater lack of class to be honest (not really, but to me there's no greater show of true love than calling yourself by your full name instead of 'me'). Nothing to see here.

I've never understood this stigma some have about referring to yourself in third-person TBH, whether it's James Anderson, Michael Clarke or Michael Vaughan or whoever. It's just a way of speaking that's a bit different, there's absolutely nothing newsworthy about it.

To me it sounds like you've got your head firmly wedged in your own arse when you go around referring to yourself by your own name. Unless you have memory problems of course and don't know who you are without constantly reminding yourself.

To me it sounds like you've gotten sick of the monotony of "I" and "me".

Enjoying the Aus Eng rivalries that have started all of a sudden on this board.

We get a long so well for two years and then all of a sudden, a month or two out, BAM, we're at eachothers throats.

    Yeah borderline amusing.

TBH though I think both "standard" POVs are wrong - someone should just have said "this isn't newsworthy".

Nah, definitely carries connotations of self importance that "I" or "me" do not.

    GeraintIsMyHero disagrees with the above
