Okay maybe Bells ratings a little harsh there.

Not forgetting the double century.

strauss- 4 no where near his best even with the horrible decisions
cook - 6 good starts for cook with but got himself out too easily and cheaply at times
bell -6 people have been harsh towards him playing like a god compared to his 2005 ashes
collingwood -6 apart from the double he has given nothing and gave his wicketaway in the last innings when we really needed him to get stuck in and attempt to bat for the draw
KP-8 batted well most of the time thje standout 'Englishman' of the tour
freddie - 5 bowlings gone from good to bad which is expected due to him being near crippled and gave his wicket away apart from the last innings of the third test. nothing like his his 2005 best
saj- n/a has been picked but hasnt played. he needs to bowl cos he aint in for his battin
anderson-2 he averages about 4000 it was very unfair of duncan to pick him he just came back from a broken back
hoggy-7 best and most consistent bowler for us in conditions he does not like
giles-0 dropped ponting when we were on top. we would have levveled the series if it stuck but we all knew what happened and as for his boling and batting..gifted his only two wickets through what i can only assume was sympathy from the conc
monty-8 WHY DUNCAN WHY
harmison-4 slowly getting better might be bek to his best for the world cup....oh wait he aint gonna be there. hes abloody quitter when it gets hard for him in stead of fighting he gives up and moans
geriant-3 the run out showed how calamitus he has been.kept well. but if he is the best wicket keeper batsmen we have we might aswell put my dead nan in atleast the pennypinchin ecb wont have to play here

Strauss: 4 - Looked in decent nick and copped a few poor decisions, but ultimately you have to put runs on the board.
Cook: 6 - Done alright, one excellent innings and a couple of decent ones.
Bell: 6 - Scored runs, but consistently failed to get big scores. Fifties don't win tests, centuries do.
Collingwood: 7.5 - Very good 96 and a terriffic double centruy but sadly not much else at all.
Pietersen: 8 - Consistently made runs, just needed to turn those fifties into centuries more often.
Flintoff: 5 - Captaincy has been average, bowling has been decent but not great, batting has been very poor.
Jones: 3 - Kept alright but abysmal with the bat.
Giles: 2 - Never looked threatening at all with the ball. Got a few runs but that's not his job (or shouldn't be).
Hoggard: 6 - Best of our bowlers. Tried his heart out but looked workmanlike at times.
Harmison: 3 - Only taken wickets in one innings out of six. Not good enough for our strike bowler.
Anderson: 2 - Shockingly poor. Should never have been picked after a year out.
Mahmood: 1 - At least he didn't get a duck.
Panesar: 7.5 - Why oh why wasn't he picked?

Bell - 8 - Has looked good except against Warne
Pietersen - 10 - What more can he do?
Flintoff - 4 - Underdone, ankle and captaincy conspiring to reduce his impact
Jones - 2 - One good innings, a lot of ducks
Mahmood - 3 - One (average) test
Harmison - 5 - Has looked dangerous at the WACA, improving steadily
Hoggard - 9 - Your best bowler easily
Panesar - 7 - Will be higher if he continues to do well
Anderson - 4 - Looked dangerous in patches
Giles - 3 - Definition of pedestrian

But Pietersen and Hoggard are the only two I'd have in my Ashes XI so far.
You're giving him an 8 for looking good. All a bit generous except Jones. Giles shouldn't be higher than 2.

After the third test, he played one test for eight wickets at an average of 29. That isn't worth 8/10.
