Last time I checked, we were still part of the commonwealth. Last ashes series, MBE's were handed out for doing something that hadn't been done for about 20 years. A series whitewash, which hasn't been done for more then 80 years, is that not more of an accomplishment?. I wonder if there will be any MBE's for our team? (not that I give a damn about the monarcy, personally, she ain't my queen. But, what's good for the goose....)

Being part of the Commonwealth has nothing to do with it. Australians don't get MBE's.
